Freepers are the best and know everything!
I need some prescription meds that my insurance co. will not pay for. My doctor suggested getting from Mexico or Canada!
I searched and found too many Canada Pharmacies on the net, great prices. But I don't know whether to trust any of them. I hate to risk $100+ to find out. Would appreciate any tips if you have ordered RX from Canada.
Thank you so much.
So, we fax or send our prescriptions to Canada, right? Forgive me for my ignorance. I’m new to this. I have coverage at the moment but fear for the future.
I believe it is illegal, but rarely enforced.
Don’t know what part of Texas you are located in but Mexico is an option.
I’ve know people that went to Mexico every six months to get their meds.
Asked around your area, friends, church members, etc.
We have prescription coverage through California PERS (Blue Cross and Optum RX). Every single one of the prescriptions from Optum that we get is made in India.
India has a very advanced chemical industry and is actually a good source for labor-intensive chemicals like prescription drugs.
I have no qualms about Indian drugs, and I am a chemical engineer.
Buy American. Don’t contribute to the widening trade deficit with Canada. Higher prices for lumber, aluminum, steel and meds are the price to be paid to MAGA.
I buy my BP meds from an Indian Pharmacy...With ZERO problems.....
Check their website to see how you get the prescription to them. I dont know if they still require faxes or if a scan will do.
Israel is another place to buy prescription medicines.
Mailed to the US right away.
bump
No - I hasn't
LOL
I hasn’t either.....
Just Bravecto for my dogs. I’ve gotten it from Australia at times also....cheaper than in the USA.
The only reason there appears to be a trade deficit with Canada is the million barrels of oil that is shipped over the border every day at a discount of up to 30%.
If you weren’t buying it from Canada you would have to buy it from another country at world price plus higher shipping costs.
Why is Canada being punished for that?
I use Northwest Pharmacy out of Vancouver British Columbia. I have used them for several years. They are 100% legitimate and professional. They save me about 1000 dollars a year.
It is very simple to use them. Get your prescription from your local doctor. Sign up at Northwest to create an account. You can then order the med you need. Once they receive the prescription and check they will process the order. There are two ways to send this to them. One is via mail just send them the check and prescription. The other is to send them a Fax along with the check on the fax. It is thus processed immediately. I just put the prescription and check on the fax machine and send it along with my order number. Northwest has a toll free number and they will most courteously assist you.
It should also be noted that they WILL NOT do mail order for any controlled substances. They are an ethical pharmacy.
You can not use a credit card because the drug companies in the USA pushed a law through congress that outlawed this method of payment for purchases of drugs from outside the USA.
I am a pharmacist.
I used one once about 5-6 years ago and still get annoying phone calls and never-ending emails.
so how are they paid?
“It infuriates me that I have to use Canadian websites to order drugs”
Yes it would be. But playing devils advocate. How many of the Drugs that you / I need we’re brought to market and the tens of millions of dollars that is required for testing we’re made by Canadian Companies? I’d venture to guess next to none.
As long as the FDA requires the prolonged time and expense to ensure Drugs work and are “relatively” safe someone has to pay for that research cost. Also remember many drugs bomb out in phase II and III testing. 100% money down the drain. No easy solution to the cost of Drugs.
You make some reasonable arguments. Of course, the problem in the end still remains that drugs for many people are just too expensive. I don’t pretend to know the answer to the problem.
