Folks I have a killer cat that has killed more birds, mice and squirrels than you can imagine. She has a pet door that allows her to come and go as she pleases. She just brought me, unharmed, a baby rabbit. The animal kingdom is hard to understand at times.
I have one just like yours. She loudly announces when she’s bringing you something. No live bunnies though. She does bring live mice, often. She is a really sweet cat, too.
Keep the pelts from the mice. Gather enough and you should be able to trade them for a 50# sack of flour at the Hudson Bay Co.
My neighbor next door keeps food and water out for her so she won't kill the squirrels.
It has been three years since we have had any vermin around these parts.

Nope, mine will kill a mouse , snake,bird or ground squirrel, but for some reason they give rabbits a pass. Last year they brought a live full grown rabbit in, go figure.

Ha! We have a feral cat we have been feeding, petting & she has a condo filled with quilts in the carport. Very tame and loving. Would NEVER come in until this winter when it was brutally cold. At first we had to bring her in against her will. THEN she discovered our bed. Then came kisses on the head, lots of purring & since Christmas break she is a lovebug .
It took 5 years, but she sleeps thru the night on the bed & has her own food bowl. She can’t get enough love & lounges on my chest while I read. It’s a miracle!
Yeah, my old girl had a wicked temper. We had a terrier that used to devil the crap out of her, and thankfully she was declawed, because she used to smack the living crap out of the little guy, haha!!
I have dogs now, no cats.
My Norwegian is like a standard tiger. I first thought she was part Main Coon as her fur looked somewhat like a Main Coon we had years ago. My wife has one of those 365 page cat calendars and one of the days had a photo of a Norwegian that looked exactly like our girl. When I went online to check it out I then realized she acted like the descriptions that were posted. Fussy, and only want things exactly their own way. I do love her and she is laying on my desk now, right next to my computer mouse, as I type this.

I’ve always had an affinity for critters and it was always reciprocal. I like them better than people.
The domestic cats bird kill rate is rapidly being overtaken by wind turbines.
Speaking of main Coon's....my son inherited one from a couple who owned a garage and had it to catch mice etc. Closed the garage and asked my son if he wanted her as they were moving to Florida. HE always admired it.
At any rate...the cat was huge and muscular having lived on a meat diet from all the critters it caught. Took only a few days before he fit right in the family. Glad you're enjoying your cat.....I have yet to get another but might one day in the future. Having put two cats down already not sure I want to go through that again.

We have had many cats and three dogs so have had to put some down over the years. It is not fun but they were all rescues and we gave them a great home for all of their years and so many rescue animals never get a good home and are euthanized.
We decided that it may hurt us to have to see them go but we were able to make their lives totally comfortable, their bellies full, many toys, a warm lap and an endless supply of petting. They get comfort and give us comfort and great companionship as well as some great laughs as they play.
I know they all will be waiting for us in the end and the love and kindness we show them is something that too many pets never get. Please think of bringing in another furball into your heart and home. They will pass on someday but, after the grief, you can smile and think about all the great times and frindship and know you did right by them.
My cat brings me flying squirrels.
Once he brought me an earthworm. I think he thought he caught a baby snake. He was so proud of himself.
Screw the “songbirds.” Very glad my Sebastian keeps this a bird-free zone. Also, delivering it to you? She’s definitely concerned that you’re just a big cat who can’t hunt and she’s trying to teach you by giving you an easy one.
I will come over and kill them all for you.
