Jodie Foster slams superhero movies as cinematic equivalent of fracking

Superheroes may have met their greatest adversary — Jodie Foster.

The 55-year-old has claimed Comic book movies are ruining cinema.

In an interview with Radio Times Magazine, the actor and director slammed the likes of Marvel and DC production as the cinematic equivalent of fracking.

'Going to the movies has become like a theme park,' she said.

'Studios making bad content in order to appeal to the masses and shareholders is like fracking — you get the best return right now but you wreck the earth.'

She continued: 'It’s ruining the viewing habits of the American population and then ultimately the rest of the world.

The two-time Oscar winner, who directed the likes of Nell, The Beaver, The Brave One and Money Monster, insisted she didn't want to make '$200m movies about superheroes.'

However, she would consider a superhero protagonist if they had 'really complex psychology'.

And if some crazy person with a mistaken crush on her hadn’t tried to kill Reagan,

Hinckley is thinking, "I tried to kill the President for THAT?"

Just because you’re a genius doesn’t mean you have common sense.

That goes for any Hollywood ‘performer’.....the ones speaking the loudest and complaining are generally the dumbest of the breed. They should stick to what they do...”pretend”.

"The Beaver"? I had never heard of it - the movie - and first thought it was a remake of "Leave It To Beaver".

Then I realized my mistake, and thought it was a remake of "Chatterbox!".

I looked it up, and it has Matt Lauer in it. No thanks.

I used to go to the theatre 30-50 times a year. Now I stream. Went to 1 movie in theatre this year. I read reviews to see what’s coming out and then I list those I want to see on streaming.

I’m more likely to go to Irvine or downtown San Diego to see an independent or foreign film. There was a closer theatre in la Jolla that had greta movies without teen car chases, explosions, and HS kids in the shower. But it closed.

Entebbe is on my list.

Just watched “What Happened to Monday” on Netflex....worth the watch ....

A father has 7 girls in a one child society....hids them but teaches them as adults to mirror one of them so they all have their day in the outside world. Gets interesting.

“Jodie Foster, the dyke, whose most memorable role was getting gang banged on a pinball machine”

She should go to a dentist to get her hair cut.

Matt’s NBC Office with the magic door lock button was the largest Beaver Trap ever made.

Love fracking. Hate superhero movies that are thick with CG and sparse on story

Libtard TV shows are the cinematic equivalent of the Obama years: old women in leading roles with a smiling token black man of suspect sexuality in the background.

Waste of womanhood...the little she had to begin with....her face always looked to me like a preemie’s face that never fully developed.

Was there any bad language in Churchill? My wife can’t tolerate a even a single G.D. It ruins the movie for her because she’s bracing for the next one.
