“The diplomatic confusion of the Trump administration has only added to this danger, creating uncertainty around the world as to U.S. intentions and capabilities.”
I suppose that is one view, and a distorted one it is. I see more cohesion and purpose in Trump’s lead from the front diplomacy than in Obama’s just-let-sh@t-happen diplomacy. I think we are much less likely to get into a war if world leaders are a bit scared of Trump, rather than contemptuous of Obama.

No reason for us all to have to click on to the article. The five are:
North Korea
Taiwan
Ukraine
NATO southern flank
The Gulf (SaudiArabia/Iran)
I would like to point out another one. There's an article on FR now about Indian soldiers crossing into Pakistani-controlled land to kill some bad guys.

The diplomatic confusion of the Trump administration has only added to this danger, creating uncertainty around the world as to U.S. intentions and capabilities. How is this bad? Sun Tzu talked about this as a strength. Keep the bad guys guessing about what you can and are willing to do.
