There is a great disturbance in the Force: Angry Star Wars fans are petitioning Disney to discard The Last Jedi, the eighth installment in the Skywalker saga released last Friday, and remake the film.
More than 7,000 fans have signed a Change.org petition titled “Have Disney strike Star Wars Episode VIII from the official canon” as of Tuesday morning, after being disappointed with writer-director Rian Johnson’s continuation of the beloved space saga. Warning: Spoilers ahead.

I read the reviews by people on IMDB, some of the worst reviews I ever read in my life for a movie, some people saying it was so bad that it made them cry LOL!

I don’t understand these movie companies, well Disney I can understand being that it’s run by morons, but how hard is it to get a good script? They’re pouring millions into the picture, if not hundreds of millions, yet they can’t afford to buy a yellow pad and write out a good script? It’s freakin Star Wars! You can do anything in it!

I recall that Highlander 2 was so staggeringly bad that Highlander 3 literally started with the main character, seated & breaking the 4th wall by speaking directly to the audience, explaining that the second movie didn’t happen and that the third was resuming the first about 10 minutes before that storyline ended.
The article makes it sound like The Godfather 3 of the Star Wars saga. Too funny. That’s what happens when PC disney takes over the franchise. I expect wise,black lesbians from the planet lesbo to restore order to the universe in the next installment.
I saw it, meh. Funny was the critic\fanboy disconnect....90%+ on Rotten tomatoes with critics and a middling 50% with actual people who buy the tickets. I speculate, Hollywood and critics who make money of the system are really scared that Amazon\Netflix will put them out of business. They wanted so bad to make this the next Citizen Kane..which it clearly isn’t. The director’s biggest resume bullet point...”Looper”...huh?, an almost direct to video Bruce Willis crapfest made before smartphones or Obama.
Last Jedi is a dog, it’s a hair better then the prequels and much worse than Episode 8 and the the older movies. The humor in the movie actually made it feel like Spaceballs. Please save your money, the movie sucks.
I saw the first one back in the 1980s and that was it; thought it was mediocre, don’t understand the fan devotion to this claptrap. Now, The Thing (original), Alien I, and Them were scifi movies to remember but they had a plot, good acting and a theme.
Yes the movie had to throw in a completely unnecessary plot line to incorporate the black guy, a chubby Asian and a bunch of Oliver Twist looking multiracial kids. It was laughable it was so planned. G*d forbid only white people are the main characters. Disney will make money on this turd , but they did the series a disservice.
Disney bought the full rights to Star Wars for $7B.
They need to milk it just to make the purchase break even.
