The first is a trip down the river Thames and a look at the Pool of London, then one of the busiest ports in the world. Lots of steamships. The second, linked in the comments below, shows scenes along the Great North Road which was a major coaching road in the 18th and 19th centuries passing through lots of very old small towns and villages.

Good color; alo, good colour.
I think they took it off, I just looked it up. “7 up” is the name? I also tried “Seven up” no dice.
This is amazing. This is 80 years ago when Hillary was around 30 years old.
Short on time now, only saw a tiny bit, but I saw two workers maneuvering a tug boat. They were wearing “suit jackets” and “men’s hats” while they performed their manual labor.
Now people in offices don’t even dress like that most of the time. Sigh.
Interesting. I was watching footage of the blizzard the UK got hit with in 1963 on YouTube.
Back when Great Britain was still ‘great’ (and my country was still the ‘Dominion’ of Canada and we celebrated ‘Dominion Day’, NOT Canada Day, on July 1).
In April, 1943, U-124 was attacked by a British surface ship and went down with all hands.
Bookmarked for later.
Oh so sorry. It’s on youtube (Seven Up)
I really do recommend it. Hope you try for it.
I did the same thing, tracking down the fates of those ships that I could identify. ‘Hobson’s Bay’ survived the war and was scrapped at Faslane in 1955.
At around 4:51 you can see some sailing barges.
This was a fine art: you’d be sailing along with a massive cargo, your mast would be up,
then you’d come to a bridge, let your mast down on the tabernackle,
“shoot” the bridge,
stay underway,
and pop your mast back up with a successive series of joists and elbow grease,
remaining underway and with steering way,
and just keep on sailing.
AWESOME!
Fascinating. Thanks.
Ping for later viewing.
Thanks!
Berlin in 1945:

...back when the west defended itself against statists and those who hate the Jews. Today, almost without exception, the cultural tide goes with Islamists and statists who worship government and who hate the people of God.
Hope and pray for a spiritual revival.
At any rate, this video is from the aftermath of Berlin’s destruction.
Thanks for the link.
BTTT.
