Recently, scientists reported in the monthly notices of the Royal Astronomical Society the discovery of a theory-shattering exoplanet one of countless such discoveries in the last two decades. As reported on phys.org on October 31, the hot Jupiter should not exist according to planet formation theory. In this episode, we outline the fundamental differences between the standard model of planet and star formation versus that of the Electric Universe.

Thanks for the heads up.
Good grief.
Whether or not it’s electric, our universe is certainly eclectic.
I sometimes think that the universe is a machine designed for the perpetual astonishment of astronomers.

Recently read an authoritative science text on the Solar System formation and how the natural forces like the Solar Wind made the first 4 planets rocky as gas giants like Jupiter could not exist in close to Sol.
Yet another disturbance in the force I fear!
If the planet ‘shouldn’t exist’ according to accepted theories of planet formation, then this bit of ‘settled science’ is wrong. This should give the global warming theorists a cold chill
“should not exist according to planet formation theory” It does exist, and so a true scientist would say: “planet formation theory is wrong, and we need to revise it”
When equations do not correctly represent reality they are faulty, and must be discarded.
The argument is not whether or not a particular sort of planet should or should not exist, but that our solar system does NOT predict what we should find around other stars. Our solar system seems, by comparison, to be a unique anomaly that should not exist. (Keep in mind that the popular idea of the formation of our solar system was proposed in the 1700s by the mystic Emanuel Swedenborg.)
These new discoveries begin to give some credence to the “Saturn Myth” (David Talbot) wherein long ago the Earth and Mars were moons of Saturn, from which Venus was expelled due to something unknown happening which may or may not have caused the creation of the existing solar system (which was previously like the ones observed around other stars) to ‘jump’ or change, moving the planets into the formation we see today.
Interestingly enough, this idea of Earth as a moon of Saturn would account for the single large landmass located around the current South Pole and for the ability of dinosaurs to stand up right without being crushed by Earth’s current gravity (The Problem with Big Dinosaurs).

Thanks
Electric Universe? I love their albums.
The landmass that makes up Antarctica was not in the polar region during the age of dinosaurs. But the fact that the earth could have been a moon of the nearest gas giant is interesting.
That's the way science used to work, before it became institutionalized, bureaucratic, dogmatic, and driven by government funding.
Now we have 'consensus' science, which is more akin to a religious cult, locked into a fixed system of invioable beliefs.
We'll never make it to the stars with such a system in place.
Swordmaker, if the universe is electric, what do you believe this means? How can/does it impact us. Of course, it is important to know truth.
