You do not even know your fans buddy. As Rush Limbaugh himself pointed out, one of the fascinations with football, is fantazing or dreaming that you were a player. And you have now destroyed that fantasy. It is never coming back. We do not want to be like your players. We do not hate our police. We respect the sacrifices that our military has devoted to our country. We do not want to be your Steelers. Not one bit now. And the game with its stupid parity has only removed great teams. So you are left with average to below average teams. Who still by the way sometimes lose almost every game in their season. So the game is weak too. Never ever see two great teams square off in a contest with multiple lead changes. Goodbye.
Money not spent on the NFL will be money spent elsewhere. Perhaps some of the more productive areas of our economy. Where actual capital goods are produced that can improve peoples lifes. There is life and business after football. Although starting a new league or new leagues might be possible too. Gonna have a lot of empty stadiums sitting around soon I suspect.
Art, I hate to point it out, but we did “learn from this”, and what we learned was that your product isn’t worth watching anymore, that the owners are spineless, and that the players are dancing to the tune of racist social activists. And the other thing we learned is that life without football can be pretty good.

As a Steelers fan, you lost me...my family spent the weekend on our boat and we didn’t care about football. This weekend is the Clearwater Superboat Race, so another weekend without football.
The problem here is not connecting the dots to the democrats who created a needed racial divisuon when Obama through the use of his office and the “Bully Pulpit” began creating “victims” out of blacks engaged in criminal activities who were not just resisting legal arrest but responding by attacking legal authority and endangering their lives .
Until this get exposed along with its political purposes the continung political discourse which has been exanded to include “white guilt” will continue.
When blame the cops for cold blooded killings started by Obama’s it was through his use of the Bully Pulpit. It began with his comments during the Zimmerman trial. Those inspired at least 10 deadly assaults ending in death of any non black who wandered near on in “hoods” controlled by members cf black ganags. One such noteable case is that of Christopher Lane an Australian visiting Duncan Oklahoma. (I think the figure is more like 20 racially inspired murders)
Obama was never held accountable for his inflamatory remarks. And because he wasn’t he contunued hammering away creating a wider racial division targeting police authority which resulted in cops being targeted and murdered in cold blood.
THIS IS NEVER BROUGHT OUT WHEN THE NFL ACTION GETS DISCUSSED...
I think some of the families that own teams “get it” but the league-wide decision to stand against the fans will have consequences. The owners are familiar with and have relationships with fans that have been season ticket holders through the decades even after the PSL fiasco and to watch them burn their stuff and walk away was an eye opener.
Goodell told them that this will blow over but these people have ended decades old, multi-generational relationships for employees that will be in prison or bagging groceries in a few years.
On top of that, the owners just handed the players the ultimate bargaining chip in the upcoming labor negotiations.

One idiot (forget his tag or I'd copy him) claimed that there was no way anyone would throw their money away by destroying their season tickets (says a lot about his own principles) and I know a older football fan that has a private box in New Orleans where he and his daughter (and wife when she was alive) spent a lot of time when the Saints were playing and he destroyed the pass for this year. He and his daughter now plan to travel to a few Ole Miss games and leave the NFL off their docket for the foreseeable future.
Rooney should learn the first rule of holes...
NOW watch for the kneelers to all say “we made our point” or “we’ve made people engage in an uncomfortable conversation”, act is if THEY WON then tone down the protests.....
Of course no one is talking about the racist Black Power salutes being given by some players......
