When Kathy Griffin posed for a photoshoot holding a fake decapitated, bloody head of President Donald Trump in June, she likely didnt think about the wide-reaching implications of her so-called joke.
While her controversial stunt resulted in some serious professional consequences, it also earned her a lengthy visit from the U.S. Secret Service.
Secret Service agents reportedly tracked down Griffin and interviewed her in person for more than an hour. Further, the investigation into the bloody head debacle remains open.
Griffins attorney, Dmitry Gorin, has claimed the comedian was merely exercising her First Amendment rights to tell a joke.
When you look at everything in the media, all the times entertainers make videos or express themselves in other ways, youve never seen an entertainer, let alone a comedian, be subject to a criminal investigation, the attorney added.
Even though the investigation is ongoing, its unlikely that Griffin will actually be arrested over the crude photo.

It's a good thing you won't get your way.

If they were serious, they wouldn't hassle U.S. citizens who exercise their right to Free Speech.
Why did it take them so long?
Yes, I appreciate anything that can fall under the
broad classification of wobbleknockers.......or even if they don’t. I know. I’m a pig. And I love it. So do the ladies of ambiguously refined tastes.
U.S. citizens who exercise their right to Free Speech.
Kathy Griffin is still an unfunny, homely, little red head. I don’t know who ever told her she was a comedian. They lied!
OMG thanks for the laugh!!
Yes that whole movie was pretty dam good seen it many times
How unappetizing!
Grilled bitterness, silicone, and cellulite make me nauseous.
Still homely. Still not very funny.
I was just kidding. Sometimes I get so mesmerized by women in movies, I lose track of the story.
no one has photoshopped her on a bar b q grill yet?
this has nothing to do with free speech, as I stated in my post. I’ll wait while you go look...see?
My point is the Dems are always screaming about “hate speech” which this wasn’t, this was pointing at ISIS and saying “hey wish you’d do this to him” speech. Holding up a bloody head made to look like the President is NOT free speech, it was, in MY opinion a threat, make believe or not.
Sorry YOU can’t see the difference.
#Common Sense
THese people don’t get it. No one denies a person’s right to free speech, but the consequences can be important.
I recall a long long time ago, long before the security stations at airports, when you could run to your gate with seconds to spare from the time you were dropped off for you flight. Those innocent days are over...
While in line at the check in, the guy in front me, in his suit in an tie, handed the agent his bag, and said, “Here’s my bomb.”
The agent looked up at the guy, left for a few seconds, and then two men escorted the man away. He didn’t board the plane.
No doubt, the man was trying to be funny, just like yelling “fire” in crowded theater, or “snake” in a restaurant.
In my mind, it’s like Kathy Griffin, with the severed head of our president no less, nonchalantly said, “Here’s my bomb,” to an airline’s agent. And she expects all of us to laugh.
