That’s awful. So young.
Damm, I’ll always remember her as a kid on Happy Days.
Just heard this from my DH tonight. What a shame. CAn’t read much right now (esp. that terrible DM site which has huge articles full of pix that drag things down). Did she ever have any treatment or just let it go?
This just brings to mind my sister, although she tried to treat it. So sad!
I loved Weezer in the 90’s, so geeky and awkward, but such striking lyrics and tunes that stuck with you.
Only in dreams
We see what it means
Reach out our hands
Hold onto hers
But when we wake
It’s all been erased
And so it seems
Only in dreams
Praying for your father and your family.
Cancer sucks.
Throat cancer, we all know what causes that.
Phillip Morris > Hitler
Maybe a combo of butts and meth?
Yeah...
Thank you so very much. Cancer does suck in the biggest possible way :(
“...Phillip Morris...”
Interesting... I knew someone who died from that same type of cancer, and never smoked a day in his life.
I think when your numbers up, it’s just up.
That certainly happens, yes.
I had an uncle that died (WW2; USMC-Pacific) from liver cancer and he never drank a drop of alcohol in his life.
I’d like to see cancer eradicated in my lifetime, but I don’t think it is likely.
It is the great equalizer, isn’t it... it’s random, it’s awful, and it’s lethal.
And I’ll add - it sucks.
Sorry news for Erin. Just sad.
Don’t take a day of your life for granted.
In many ways, the medical community is no closer to curing cancer, or at least certain cancers, today than it was 100 years ago.
That’s scary, but it’s also reality.
True that.
Seems that so many diverse things just trigger it.
Plus being in a war seems to lop a chunk of years off of one’s life. I have only 1 relative that I can think of that was a combat vet that made it past 62-63.
“...that made it past 62-63....”
Come to think of it, my old man’s brothers didn’t live much past that.
They were in the Pacific.
There you go. Exposure to chemicals and stress. Killers.
That happens, sure. Air pollution? Who knows.
But puffing moves you to the head of the line.
I’m very sorry about your friend’s cancer diagnosis. God bless you both.
............thank you VERY much for saying that!
News is not any better. He woke up a day or so ago and his right eye was blind. Doc’s say it’s forever.
So sorry. Courage and strength!
