This is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen on CNN — and that’s saying a lot. Wolf Blitzer broke out with a “developing story” about how if the inauguration is attacked and everyone died, the constitution actually says that an Obama cabinet member would legally become the president.
I hope CNN talent has their own 24-7 protection because their talk will bring out the crazies to maybe take them out.
They talk all this leftist bunk or suggesting basically what a good terrorist attack could do for Democrats.
Don’t they think they could get some crazy person stalking them when they raise things to this rediculous level?
Could be putting them and their families at risk along with a smooth transition of government all for a chance at provoking a terrorist act sound bite?
I will be shocked if the FBI doesn’t pay a call on them.
I looked for a link to vid, on CNN and in web search....nothing comes up :(

I was listening to talkshow host Phil Valentine earlier this evening. He brought up the same question. Then, he did some research and found —
A designated survivor will be in a separate location. For this inauguration, the President pro tempore is a designated survivor. He is Republican Orin Hatch. Also, a second designated survivor will be Democrat Homeland Security SecretaryJeh Johnson.
So, only if something happens to all attendees and Hatch can the Dems continue in power.

If Trump and Pence are sworn in and they are killed, the person who would become the POTUS would be the President Pro Tempore of the Senate which is Orin Hatch. There would have to be a lot of carnage to get to Jack Lew, the current Secretary of the Treasury.
The dems continuity of government plan can only work if they get enough of the military to follow thier orders
Was never going to happen. If they orchestrate this the military will indeed not be happy and quickly protect the people. The dems lose either way.
