Unfortunately Trump is providing gratis some of the fodder by making unwarranted comments about the Gold Star mom. He needs to focus his fire on Hillary. Trump seems to be still in primary mode.
All Trump had to do was issue a simple statement to the effect that while the country honors and appreciates the service of Khan’s son, as the nation does of all its fallen troops, and that unfortunately Hillary sought to exploit this military tragedy for personal personal political benefit as a deflection of her responsibility that led to the deaths of our marines in Benghazi.
That would have been a home run. Instead. Trump is turning this election to all about him based on needless payback remarks.
My thoughts exactly. I feel sorry for Melania, who has to be dragged into this. Also, she was single back then -- didn't even know Trump. What she did before she was married, let alone to a candidate, should not even be relevant.
