Pluto isn't quite as lonely as scientists had thought.
Astronomers have discovered another dwarf planet in the Kuiper Belt, the ring of icy objects beyond Neptune. But this newfound world, dubbed 2015 RR245, is much more distant than Pluto, orbiting the sun once every 700 Earth years, scientists said. (Pluto completes one lap around the sun every 248 Earth years.)
"The icy worlds beyond Neptune trace how the giant planets formed and then moved out from the sun," discovery team member Michele Bannister, of the University of Victoria in British Columbia, said in a statement. "They let us piece together the history of our solar system."
...
The exact size of 2015 RR245 is not yet known, but the researchers think it's about 435 miles (700 kilometers) wide. Pluto is the largest resident of the Kuiper Belt, with a diameter of 1,474 miles (2,371 km).
The research team first spotted 2015 RR245 in February of this year, while poring over images that the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope in Hawaii took in September 2015 as part of the ongoing Outer Solar System Origins Survey (OSSOS).
"There it was on the screen this dot of light moving so slowly that it had to be at least twice as far as Neptune from the sun," Bannister said.

Yes, that’s true.
Possibly easier for bubble gum removal but the only sure way of removing the bum honking his broken saxophone out of key and demanding money to stop.
Argee might remember that guy.
“So Venus is considering leaving the solar system?”
That’s what the tabloids are saying. It’s been a long time brewing, but Venus really has had it with the whole “competing with Earth for Mars’ attention” deal. The rumors are ricocheting around the Asteroid Belt that she’s finally done. Between Venus and Earth, Venus is the hotter body, she’s got the closer connections with Sol — you’d expect she’d get some real traction wooing Mars, but it hasn’t worked out that way; Earth has been getting between them all along. And Earth, for her part, has been making way to big a deal out of the whole “being inhabited” thing; just out-and-out flaunting it. There’s no humility at all, there. Quite the contrary, she’s been broadcasting that reality to the entire universe at every opportunity. And this entire blow-up is just that much more galling because Venus and Earth have a closer relationship than any of the rest of the planets, and it just seems Earth doesn’t care at all.
So, yeah, the chatter is that Venus just doesn’t feel like the solar System is “home,” anymore. Mercury hasn’t been vocal about it, but as the next-closest to Venus he confided that he thinks Venus is hunting for an exit vector; maybe a less rural planetary system closer to the galactic core. Seems a very long way from what we’ve come to think of as “the norm,” but — hey — things change, and if Venus can swing it, maybe she’ll find a whole, new and better place to shine, ‘cuz Heaven knows she’s got the look.
You glow, girl!
Looks like someone got the routing diagram flipped right for left then just tried to make the best of it. Had every bundle on the left been routed up the right of the cabinet, and vice versa, it seems the cable tie connections to the cabinet sides would be mechanically sufficient.
Chalk up one more to “All for the want of a nail.”
I’m in china town. We have a guy playing an Ik Taara.
You can see one on Yew-toob. I don’t have speakers on my machine here at the office so I don’t know if our guy sounds like the one I found online.
For want of a nail the shoe was lost
For want of a shoe the horse was lost
For want of a horse the rider was lost
For want of a rider the battle was lost
For want of the battle the king was lost
For want of the king the kingdom was lost
And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.
Why didn’t they just put a nail in the shoe
And save the horse and the rider, too?
And save the kingdom and save the king?
I guess it’s just the same ol’ thing.
Somebody goofed!

If you have to ask what’s in Black Pudding, you really don’t want to know...
(Same goes for scrapple.. ;-)
Photo taken immediately after Sandy...
So it would be the A train to Far Rockaway.
Or the F train headed toward the East River at 63rd street in Manhattan.
LOL! Excellent! As the song says, “Git outen the way, boys! She’s gonna unwind!”
If that cupboard unwound, I’d hear the bang from here. :)
And then you’d be throttled.
It’s far worse than Scrapple.
But watching Tourists try it for the first time is always a pleasure.
*It’s very peppery.*
*yeap.*
*Now what is in it?*
*We’ll tell you tomorrow.*
Entombed in 5000yards of enraged and vengeful Cat6 cable. Ahhhh!
Aww come on...Black pudding, Scrapple, and German Blutwursts are tasty when properly prepared and accompanied vinegar and horseradish or mustard of choice. Of course the ingredients vary quite a bit. Don’t know if one can get real Black pudding here. Real German Blutwurst isn’t allowed in the US,IIRC, have to make do with domestic. Scrapple, is,” well Scrapple. All beat haggis, hands down.
Not to mention you don't have to endure the screechings from a bladder that sounds better if left in the sheep...
If she could unwind when it’s really windy it would be a help.
That's na' the weigh to be speakin' of the pipes there, laddie!
