Here is a sentence I never thought Id type: After days of prayer, reflection, and serious study of the possibilities, I am not going to run as an independent candidate for president of the United States.
I gave it serious thought as a pretty darn obscure lawyer, writer, and veteran only because we live in historic times. Never before have both parties failed so spectacularly, producing two dishonest, deceitful candidates who should be disqualified from running for town council, much less leader of the free world.

A very typical leftist tactic/version of saying "A equals A, but also, there is B, so, A equals B." It's rhythm is nice, it sounds deep .... lovely elegant phrasing. Absolute, 100% bullsh*t.
But I can't really call it a tactic ... because they outwit themselves by their own tactics, and come to be the only ones faked out by themselves.
One thing I can say ... Nations are built more by rejecting the outright irrational, than on courage. Courage is only required when the mob is irrational.
French is mob. Or, A equals A.
Loved them both in little house on the prairie

Ended in ‘83, still rerunning 5 days a week, twice a day where I live. I watch it occasionally, very good show.
Good to see that French ain’t gonna be a son of a Vichy.
Its on here everyday on The Hallmark Channel from 2-6PM now they are showing the episodes from the beginning great show have seen all of the episodes
Trump took another one out of the game!!!!
The only one that could ever reach me...
Was the son of a Vichy man.
I think that song was in a Tarantino film. Inglorious Bastards, Pulp Fiction, or maybe both. :)
Looks like Kristol’s gonna have to run himself.
The book in one hand, the dictionary in the other...lol
Democracy can itself be as tyrannical as a dictatorship, since it is the extent, not the source, of government power that impinges on freedom."

“Never before have both parties failed so spectacularly, producing two dishonest, deceitful candidates who should be disqualified from running for town council, much less leader of the free world.”
And you, Mr. “Incredible Candidate,” are an idiot, a loser, and completely unable to ascertain the times call for someone with Trump’s approach.
Go cry in your crib. Maybe your mommy has some nice warm milk for you.
It is really amazing to see how clueless kristol and french and the rest of them are about reality.. No matter how educated people are they can not seem to improve on their common sense..
Didn’t Mr. French used to be a butler?
Bill Kristol did.
LOL. Well, I hope it was water and not a single malt!
“and will never again be a credible conservative voice.”
National Review has already achieved that distinction. It’s just adding icing to that cake.
Even WFB's ghost would have caught that typo immediately.
>>>What a graceless opus Mr. French offered up...<<<
i agree, so disappointing.
he did manage to half-heartedly dis Trump some on his way out though ...so i give him a 1 (on my scale of 0-10) for towing the #nevertrumpstupidity line to the very end. bravo frenchie...
>>>It is my reluctant duty to announce that I, Rev Wright, will not be a candidate for President in 2016.<<<
lol
How many issues did NR sell with this pathetic little stunt?
I’m shamed before the ghost of my hero...lol
I miss Buckley....
He wrote some great novels too..
I never missed Firing Line as a kid.
My folks would say “Why do you watch that silly show?”
