Good article by tech worker suggesting his theory of demographics, artistic license and college indoctrination.
They are unprincipled, but not stupid.
Dominated by immigrants from Socialist countries, they love free stuff.
People who “live inside their own head” often find the real world messy and challenging. Sometimes they want someone to just come along and “handle” everything for them.
Corporations are the same as godless government entities. They are dictatorships.
Dictatorship is a form of government ruled by one person or political entity, and exercised through various mechanisms to ensure the entity’s power remains strong.
No freedom for individuals is allowed.
They be seeking .gov favoritism . . ?
It isn’t just the Tech companies. It is now all areas of the work force.
Just look at the medical field. It is overrun with leftist. Nearly ALL researchers, scientist and anyone with a PHD are left of center.
Due to the culture now present in ALL institutions of higher learning. They are indoctrinated from kindergarden in the leftist mind set.....
Can you name ONE college or university that espouses conservative values other than Hillsdale?
It has been going on for decades but it really went full force during the Microsoft Explorer lawsuit.
Fake Message: “Explorer is preventing competition”
Real Message: “Support RATS and the lawsuits will stop”
Intel
Boeing
Apple
Google
Walmart
Toyota
All these companies have been targeted the same way and all have moved left in response.
The RATS want more $$$ out of Apple which is why it is still targeted on encryption.
Too many foreigners bringing in non-American culture.
I am employed by a tyranny.
I do business with a capitalist entity.
If my employer decides to become a “democracy”, they will fail...sooner or later.
Probably because our lives are so cush. A lot of liberalism is built around guilt, that feeling of having more than you deserve. And in the world of tech, with our free drinks, free snacks, complete lack of dress code, upper 50% pay largely for doing stuff we’d be doing anyway, plus the quantity of time we spend not doing anything, game rooms, frequently short days... It’s really easy to feel like we’re rewarded in excess of our contributions.
I think a guy in the comments section nailed it.
Tech companies tend to be dominated by 20-30somethings who adopt the view that being liberal is “cool.”
I work for one of these tech giants, and there are a few liberals I work with who have the courage of their convictions - They actually understand WHY they’re liberal and it’s a choice made on conscience.
But *most* of them...To the tune of 85% of them are liberal just because it’s socially acceptable to be liberal and it’s not to be conservative. Their politics are all based on “feels” and never on math.
That said, I feel like overall, my company has a 60/40 split of liberal/conservative. Most of my engineer colleagues are conservative, or at least libertarian. Most managers, trainers, marketers, and sales folks seem to lean liberal.
The executive level can’t throw themselves at liberal causes fast enough. The only thing they’re “conservative” on is keeping their H1B Visa quota as high as possible.
Somebody has got to have the ultimate authority to keep the business afloat and that responsibility requires strong authority.
The difference between a business and government is that a business "theoretically" absorbs the risks of failure -- which is precisely why businesses try to game the system by working closely with government and protecting their monopolies or quasi-monopolies.
Look at how Warren Buffet protects his empire by making deals with Obama.
The ancient Babylonians had a wise philosophy: the architect of a bridge must have his home under the bridge -- to establish responsibility.
College
What is American Corporatism?
The economic Left likes corporatism for three reasons:
It satisfies its lust for power.
It makes possible attempts to redistribute income.
It enables them to practice #2 while remaining personally affluent.

keep our conversation in mind as Trump attempts to govern.
This. I've asked friends in tech how they can support socialism, confiscatory taxes when the money is just pissed away, and they basically say (I) I can't spend what I make anyway, and (II) I would be doing the same thing at home anyway, it's my passion (III) They are so insulated from the real world they believe they are helping the little guy by supporting socialist programs
One cause is the instant money for the founders. They have been very bright guys and very innovative. Their fortunes came too fast. They really have no concept of where the money all came from. Oh, they can talk about marketing and invention and copyrights, but to them emotionally the money was magic and there is really no reason it can’t happen to everyone and they expend energy trying to make the government do what nature refuses to do i.e. shower money on everyone. They also know that they are so absolutely brilliant that anything they think of must be truer than anything anyone else thinks of so they should be forcing their ideas on everyone else for their own good.
