Cruz is a true constitutionalist, and a conservative’s conservative. Too bad he went to the dark side and started politifying and twisting the truth (or even outright lying...) just to try to win. He did us a favor by showing us his other side.

Yes. Hillary, Bernie and Obama want the support of more than half of the public. The Dominionists Ted respects are only a small fraction of the public; and non-voters are an even smaller fraction (approximately zero, expressed to several significant figures). The non-voters he might get are not exactly zero, since the Electoral College electors could conceivably be available for corruption.

Ted's followers are irritating because they're playing right into the hands of the GOPe. Ted is being used to block Trump. He failed at that today. Let's hope for the sake of beating Hillary that his fail continues and Trump takes it on the first ballot.

If he doesn't the GOPe stooge the insiders nominate will be slaughtered at the polls in November.

Possibly evaluate two thoughts:

Conservatives who think they can save the GOP are really playing Russian roulette, and no conservative who supports Trump hates Cruz.

Many Republicans lean libertarian, but they hate the wacky pot and open borders enough not to identify as one. You’ll have to learn how to talk to them without insulting them.

That said, Cruz and Trump are both imperfect but they agree far more than 80% of the time (see my tagline from Ronald Reagan). They should be friends and allies, and we should treat both of them as such.

Hey, you patriotic Texican. Good to see you too. Some of us have been around for longer than we'd care to admit.

If anyone had asked us back when we first started FReeping ('97-'98?) would we ever be watching a "Trump-vs-Clinton" presidential primary fight, I doubt any of us would have seen this coming.
