? Did Mr. Trump forget to mention where his suiting was actually made at the time? Seems like it. Does it really matter now that Macys will stop selling his collection? Maybe not, but it just goes to prove how hes losing his mind.

Huh? That confirms what he said, if anything. The deadbeats come here illegally, so the fact that industrious Mexican nationals back home can make nice suits is no surprise.
Please! Tell me where your pants were made? How about your shoes? I know you know were your shirt is from? No! Go to a big mall and spend the day looking for “ Made in USA “ tag in clothing. Good luck and see you at the food court at dinner time.
Exactly.
too many folks are so low intellects that they will just start parroting it...”See? He’s a hypocrite...”
Don’t know why we bother to try to change their minds.
actually we aren’t...there are more of the idiots every day.
Yeah, sending jobs for Mexico for people who stay there to do high-quality work. OUTRAGEOUS
Sad attempt - heartening that those being scared the most are out of ammo.
Macy’s paid for his name.
Trump is as guilty of this hypocrisy as much as when we realized that CoAmerica Bank didn’t actually build the ball-field in Detroit.
For eff’s sake, Macy’s had his suits made there. Get that parts straight and you will begin to understand exactly why this is a straw man argument in the first place.
It’s not like trump told Macy’s where to source the material or manufacture the item.
He probably doesn't even know how to sew.;-)
“The U.S. incentives them to come herem”
That part is true.
But the Mexican government is also responsible. The fact is that the Mexican government has classes for border jumpers. They’re doing everything possible to assist illegals here.
Why?
Because these people send a LOT of US dollars back to their families. Tons of money is funneled into the Mexican economy via illegal immigrants.
I am uncomfortable with being complicit with the Mexican ethnic cleansing by elite and rich Mexicans against their indigenous population
That is a big reason
That was basically the explanation when this first came out in 2011. It isn’t only textile, though, everything in his and his wife’s product lines, from cufflinks to teddy bears. It will come up in the debates for sure.
The apparel industry moved overseas and did so for good reasons. One of the reasons was cheaper labor but the industry’s distribution system resembled a system from the 1800s with many levels of jobbers and hangers on who got a cut of the sale for no reason that I could determine, driving up the cost to non-competitive levels.
After I had been in the industry for a year it was clear that it was a dead man walking. I was right as the plants began moving to other countries.
It was really stupid.
I guess that beats “Made In The USA By Mexican Nationals”.
Exactly!
Exactly. And the ones he kept employed in Mexico were not coming here to get on welfare.
The left has made it exceedingly difficult to set up shop in the states. Trump has promised to resolve this. If he can, then he can bring bring the textile industry. Otoh, he is not obligated to take a loss or burn the shareholders for the sake of supporting Obama’s dismal economy.
Devited Cruz supporter here.
He EMPLOYS people in Mexico. His beef isn’t with Mexico, it is with the corruption there sending the corruption here! These attacks are about as lame as saying a black president could stop racism.
It’s going to be fun how Trump will easily beat the left over the head with this one. : )
There is not much choice due to big monopolies of business today. The buying choices we have today are small.
Not made by illegal felons!
He’s said our trade agreements are atrocious and the US is losing money.
This is about the business of making suits reasonably and not about trade or illegal law breakers.
