Restaurants that made the list include The Cheesecake Factory, Outback Steakhouse, and Red Lobster.

I should add, that I have eaten at IHOP probably 4 times in the last 10 years. Steak and Shake, the nearest one is a 6 hour drive from where I live. Thus stopping there for a meal is a treat on a long driving business trip; usually once going west and once on the return trip. And perhaps an extra stop for a choclate milk shake only. I don’t mix the shakes with the meals but drink coffee or unsweet iced tea
I don’t know where a Sonic or Cheesecake factory are in business in my area.
That omelet has my mouth watering!

I can only lose weight and feel better when I eat a diet high in fats. The meat meals there would be quite healthy for me.
There is at least one of each of those restaurants within a 35 mile radius of my house.
I’d mourn for the pig-outs I would have to leave behind with a plan like this, but if it actually worked....

Nothing personal, but anyone who posts anything from Center for Science in the Public Interest ought to be zotted so hard their great-great-grandkids will be afraid to use Leapfrog toys.
For years, the party line from the American Heart Association, National Institutes of Health, World Health Organization, and others was to reduce dietary fat. They generally called for limiting fat intake to under 30 percent of daily calories. There wasnt much evidence to support the notion of low-fat diets in the beginning. (38) There is even less now. Numerous reports over the years have questioned the wisdom of recommending low-fat diets for preventing or retarding heart disease.

The Chorizo Omelet is pretty good and I never get pancakes at IHOP so I avoid the syrup calories. Order toast instead.
There was a comedian, Lewis Black, on HBO who said, to the effect, that on ones knows what a ‘good’ diet is. What you eat might kill the person sitting next to you.
I am inclined to agree with that thinking because it all boils down to genes, both good and bad genes.
5 Guys food is, in my daughter’s words, “revolting.” The fries are limp and taste like packing material, not potatoes. The burgers disintegrate in your hand. Eech. My grandson said, “How come they keep the food (bags of potatoes) out here where people eat?”
I’ve frequently heard that it is better to trim the carbs. An extreme is the Atkins diet.
