Genetic study reveals 30% of white British DNA has German ancestry

The Romans, Vikings and Normans may have ruled or invaded the British for hundreds of years, but they left barely a trace on our DNA, the first detailed study of the genetics of British people has revealed.

The analysis shows that the Anglo-Saxons were the only conquering force, around 400-500 AD, to substantially alter the country’s genetic makeup, with most white British people now owing almost 30% of their DNA to the ancestors of modern-day Germans.

It seems nobody has ever heard of the Angles & Saxons. Has anyone heard that English is a German language?

There's a surprise. \s

I suppose they thought all those Saxons just sprouted from British soil rather than arriving from, you know, Saxony.

.
English is a blend of French, German, and the Paleo-Hebrew of the Danos that first settled there.

A study also showed that half of Europe is related to King Tut of Egypt.

English IS a Germanic language. That fact has been known for centuries. See any history of the English language. After thousands of years living in proximity to each other of course words from other languages enter a peoples language; German borrowed its word for window from its French neighbors. Words coming in are “loan Words.”

Sorry, these genetic studies refute that British-Israel nonsense very soundly.

And if it weren’t for the Soviet Union, the US Navy and Merchant Marine and the US Army Air Force, a significantly higher percentage of the British public would have German DNA...

I had my DNA on Ancestry and found my people were 67% northwest European; Danish, Anglo-Saxon, Viking related, ect. My mother's people have English names and my father's people were from the Hebride Island off the coast of Scotland. I traced my tree back to Scotland in 1620 and I'm the 11th generation in the good ole USA.

I figured I'd be 60% English, only like 10% though. Interesting as all heck, everybody should spend the 99 bucks and spit in the tube. I also was 20% Irish, 5% Iberian (DNA from the Romans who also invaded England) and 2% Greek; imagine that. No Afri though, ha ha; wouldn't claim it if I was anyway.

My wifey is waiting on her DNA to come back. Once and for all we will know for sure she is Polish and not Slovak; something I've known my entire life.

And I do believe that Angles that give you the name Angle land (England).. get there name from coming from that angel of German coast line between The Netherlands and Denmark.. that would be the original Angleland

60 to 70 percent of English is latin-based, most of that arriving from the Normans, who spoke Norman French, but some of it coming from the Roman era. The old Germanic form of English (pre-conquest) is no longer comprehensible to an English speaker. English survived the conquest through many of the important, basic words and the grammar, but the language is much different, and to my ear, better. It has multiple words for just about anything, any concept. It allows a writer or speaker to come up with all kinds of beautiful ways to express an idea or describe a scene.

Well, the Kaiser of WWI fame was the Grandson on Queen Victoria, and her husband Prince Albert was German himself. And Edward VIII was a little too friendly with Hitler.
