Check out the size of this goliath grouper gathering of the coast of Florida. That is a lot of really big fish.
Its definitely not news that the goliath grouper population in Florida has been steadily on the rise over the past decade. The multitude of groupers is the cause of great concern within the angling community, as there are no natural enemies of the patriarch of the grouper family.

Not being familiar with salt water fishing, I have a few questions:
1. Can you fish for them?
2. Are these large sized fish good to eat or are the small ones better?
3. Florida has a lot of coast line, where are these fish available to catch IF LEGAL?

The smaller grouper varieties are much better to eat. The article might give the wrong impression, normally the big ones aren't concentrated, they don't live in schools.

Don’t know if legal to fish for them, but the one I saw was on a wreck off either Key West or Key Largo.
