December 17, 2014, 08:15 am Obamas say they're no strangers to racism
By Justin Sink
The president and the first lady chronicled a series experiences in People magazine that they say demonstrated some of the latent racism that blacks in America continue to face.
"There's no black male my age, who's a professional, who hasn't come out of a restaurant and is waiting for their car and somebody didn't hand them their car keys," the president said.
The first lady said someone had asked her husband to get them coffee because he was wearing a tuxedo at a black-tie dinner, and he had his share of troubles catching cabs when they lived in Chicago.
"I tell this story -- I mean, even as the first lady -- during that wonderfully publicized trip I took to Target, not highly disguised, the only person who came up to me in the store was a woman who asked me to help her take something off a shelf, she said.

Obozo never forgot that comment, and totally resents that Bill upstages him whenever they are together
Yeah, Whites who voted for him only did it to make Black people look bad.
I feel so sorry for our poor president. He’s had it rough. How could I be so insensitive?
Since neither one of them has ever had a real job, they should see this as an opportunity to get out of their bubble.
I’d like a slug of Bailey’s in my coffe, Toby...
So people asked the royal pair for assistance - getting a package down, finding coffee - did they help or were they offended to have been asked to perform such mundane tasks?
“There’s no black male my age, who’s a professional, who hasn’t come out of a restaurant and is waiting for their car and somebody didn’t hand them their car keys,” the president said.
That’s not racism; that’s snobbishness on the part of the person who is offended at being mistaken for a parking attendant. What’s wrong with being a parking attendant?
The little mulatto that cried Wolf..
they certainly have experience in dishing out racist bs.
Someone at Target who didn’t recognize big-and-tall Michelle asked her for help to get something off a shelf. The horror.
I am white and short and I’ve been asked numerous times in supermarkets to help someone shorter or in a wheelchair to reach something off a high shelf. (I’ve volunteered, too.)
I didn’t take offense.
And I’ve certainly had apparently available cabs drive by me too.
Haven’t been mistaken for a valet. But if well-dressed valets were parking cars as I went into a restaurant, I’d certainly ask the well-dressed man standing there in front of the restaurant on my way out if he was there to bring me my car.
He should take a 17 day vacation in order to regroup.
Obvious lies aside, I’m sure that he’ll never say he’s no stranger to the Quran, either. I’m wondering where they have to stow the prayer rug on Air Force One when he travels.
That's true. The Obamas have been racists all their lives.
I’m as white as the driven snow. In my younger days I worked as a musician in a wedding band. Frequently when I was at a gig where I had to wear a tux people would come up to me and ask me to get their cars or check on their orders.
If I had only known that I was being victimized by racism!
I was wearing a white shirt and a tie while grocery shopping and someone came up to me and asked me where the peanut butter was. I guess I was a victim of white collar racism.
And no one thinks waiters and/or chauffeurs are all black. What a lot of crap.
especially at an upscale restaurant. I’m sure many of them make good tips.
There is nothing this guy won’t do or say to get his name in the papers or on tv.
This pampered Royal family is so out of touch that Mrs Zero doesnt know that it is extremely rare for any store personnel to come up to anybody in a store like Target or Walmart to offer help. But, to her, of course, its racism.
Sometimes women come up to me and ask for help reaching for something. That’s not rare either.
