It's enough to start a new battle of the sexes, but when it comes to needless and untimely deaths, men win hands down.
A 20 year study of the Darwin Awards, an annual review of the most foolish way people have died, found almost 90 per cent were 'won' by males.
...
Of 332 independently verified nominations 14 were ruled out of the analysis because they were shared by male and females - usually overly adventurous couples in compromising positions.

Women are not risk takers so we’re not likely to die doing risky things.
We’re also unlikely to start a new business and make a global conglomerate out of it.

Men are more likely to do stupid things does not equal men are more stupid.
There’s also a big difference in the IQ distribution curve between men and women.
Women are more likely to cluster around the average,
whereas men have more “outliers” on both ends.

I bet the authors would consider ALL of
these MEN 'stupid'.

Well, I am smart enough not to engage in this debate with a woman... :)

True....and this is the salient point. The headline was a sham.....
To: BenLurkin
And that's why America went from conservative when only men voted to a welfare non-responsible country today from the time women voted.
Same pattern around the world.
Just saying, smarter but maybe not engaging the brain when voting as a population in general!

Men have logic. Women have emotion.
Logic beats emotion every time.

Memorials on great lakes piers are almost exclusively for young males. They go out on the piers when the huge waves are crashing against them and get swept off.

It depends on the circumstances in which you're taking a risk.If you've rigged a tightrope between two skyscrapers then you're stupid. But if you agree to undergo an experimental cancer treatment...or you were one of the Marines who stormed the beaches of Iwo Jima...then one can argue that there was a noble (or even essential) purpose in that risk taking.

I don’t agree.
There are times when that “spaghetti” wiring in the brain, linking millions of seemingly (to a man) unrelated facts and concepts,
comes to a correct conclusion that “logic” would never conclude.
I trust it and take it into consideration, always.

Women are not risk takers so were not likely to die doing risky things. It is a grave error to equate risk taking with stupidity. It is also a grave error to equate one's own death with "the worst thing that could happen".
To be clear, I don't believe that you personally are committing those errors.
To: BenLurkin
So. Women are less likely to say...
“Hold muh beer and watch this...”
