Men are more likely to do stupid things does not equal men are more stupid.
There’s also a big difference in the IQ distribution curve between men and women.
Women are more likely to cluster around the average,
whereas men have more “outliers” on both ends.

Memorials on great lakes piers are almost exclusively for young males. They go out on the piers when the huge waves are crashing against them and get swept off.

Women are not risk takers so were not likely to die doing risky things. It is a grave error to equate risk taking with stupidity. It is also a grave error to equate one's own death with "the worst thing that could happen".
To be clear, I don't believe that you personally are committing those errors.
