An extraordinary bright orange flash has lit up the sky in Russias Sverdlovsk region in the Urals. While locals captured the massive blast on numerous cameras, both scientists and emergency services still struggle to explain the unusual event.
Dark evening skies in the town of Rezh in Sverdlovsk region near Russia's Ekaterinburg turned bright orange for some ten seconds on November 14, with the event being caught on several cameras by the locals.
A driver filmed the massive flash with his dashcam, later posting the video on YouTube, with more people commenting theyve seen it too. Teenagers in the town of Rezh also filmed the phenomenon with a mobile phone.

Nuke test, nuke accident or terrorist nuke attack.
That looks more like a reflection on low clouds from a bright flare on the ground.
wasn’t there a meteor ?? a few years back that caused a similar image?
Or a more mundane event such as a meteor/meteorite?
I wonder if this could be considered Chelyabinsk meteor #2?
Impressive.
The Leonid Meteors were falling last night.
There was speculation that the “event”, whatever it was, was the reason Vlad left the G20 early - certainly not to catch up on his sleep.
Wow.
Sure looks like a mushroom cloud.
I thought it was because Harper was giving him flak.
Considering the secrecy that Russia holds dear (left over, perhaps, from their Soviet years), we will probably never know.
Unless other world wide observers and or Astronomers report this event, your observations can’t discredited.
Russia must be starting to worry. Nobody else is getting meteors.
Any link to YT vid?
I'm wondering...nuclear booboo?
Doesn’t look like a nuke at all. A big nuke should give a flash, then dim, then brighten to nearly blinding intensity, then die out slowly. This brightens and then fades one time, over a fairly short period of time. Meteor or similar space junk.
