OK, I put on some kid and stess pounds and need to lose it. The Slimfast diet always worked for me but now I am prediabetic and trying to lose metabolic syndrome weight.
I need a meal replacer, preferable a powder that works like Slimfast with much less carbs.
The ideal? Powder that blends with milk, low carb, medium protein and medium fat.
Anyone?
Ok...I adopted a 40 lb Shepherd/rottie mix doggie 2 years ago. She is a working type dog and I don’t have a yard( condo second floor). Zevi gets at least two 1/2 hr to 45 min walks twice a day.
After 2 months of adopting and walking her..she gained 5 lbs and I lost 15 lbs...not kidding. Have kept it off. About the only “sweets’ I eat are some jam on toast and dark chocolate and lots of fruit. Almost no junk food, some potato chips.
Its the walking that changed my metabolism.
Thanks, I never heard of it.
One more thing: Do NOT count calories. You’ll go crazy and constantly feel deprived. If you eliminate simple carbs and limit complex carbs the weight will just melt away, and you’ll always feel full thanks to all the protien and fat you are eating. Fat is you friend, FRiend! Just stick with the healthy ones.
Is Medifast the one that requires a prescription?
Try South Beach. It isn’t as extreme as Atkins (which makes you constipated) and it is easy to do if you are at work all day. Basically salads with protein (chicken/cheese/nuts) and plain dressing (vinaigrette). You won’t be hungry, and once you get the hang of it you’ll be able to do it with your eyes closed. You WILL lose weight, and your amily can eat the same food in larger quantities.
What is HSN?
Oh I get it, Home Shopping Network.
ty.
Im sure you will really lose a lot of weight if they dont catch you.

Some of you seem to have your wilder, crazier days showing.
Please search paleo diet for diabetics. You dont need a powder diet. You need a life change to ward off the diabetes and get healthy and trim.

I understand that...and did it for years... but need the lift and boost of a diet liquid to get me started.
well there were some wild, crazier, wilder and stupid but not THAT stupid
I was a vegan vegetarian years ago til I put on too much weight.
Plan to add in exercise when I hit the wall.
I am trying to stay out of the kitchen as much as possible for the time being.
Go to the website mentioned and find out what HSN is.
Simple.
.
If you need a 'filler', make some old fashioned Jello........I was surprised and pleased how two little bowls of that goo got me through a 24 hour period.
Actually the latest research about the metabolic syndrome denies that simple fact. Sadly.
I don’t eat much for carbs to begin with.
soy might mess up hormones, but what do you think caused the gaining?
I have a farm dog. He hangs out outside herding stuff.
