To the shock of America, Katie Couric admitted she shared an intimate evening with Larry King. Yes, the bespectacled, suspender wearing, grandfatherly TV-news journalist who is 23 years Courics senior.
On last nights Jimmy Kimmel Live, Couric recounted in striking detail about the Italian dinner date she went on with King 26 years ago in Washington, DC.
After dinner, King drove them back to his apartment where he tried to put the moves on her. So we sat there and what can I say, he lunged, Couric said (to the delight/horror of everyone watching probably.)

Well, the timing in this version would have them both unmarried at the time and working in Miami.
Perhaps not coincidentally, she did go to work in DC shortly after this encounter.
That the gal known for performing in an elevator with a married exec would say no to someone in a position to help her career is the far-fetched part.
Why would Couric go out with King? To use him for her own end. She saw him as a powerful person in the media. She wanted something she thought he had. He wanted what she had. Both are beneath contempt.
It’s a warning to you all. Wanna be a celebrity? When you are, you’ll have to go out with other celebrities whom you now hate! That’s how it works.
LOL. Now that is a funny line.
Very low class.
LOL
LOL
I know Katie Couric gets no love on the freeper site but I am the only one who sees this story as sad? It reminds me of an ageing high school football star who never hit the big time who always talks about his last touchdown in high school to anyone that will listen. Here is Katie who is past her prime talking wistfully about the last time someone made a pass at her. She never was a beauty, and not even a good personality but it is sad to see.
That was too close....
She could have done worse, but he couldn’t have. Thanks illiac.
You have to think WHY she said it....Not to say he was a perv (lawsuit)...but to say she was a hot. Katie is all ego.
