That was my first thought too after reading the title...
The left uses street crime in areas like that to keep people down. They don’t want to disarm the gangs, just the people who have read the Declaration of Independence and might threaten the oppressors.

The other problem is - a lot of the people you think work for you, don't actually work for you...at least, not to the level of loyalty where they would carry out something like this. More of a "happy to take the check, but will slink away into the night if asked to put it all on the line" kind of relationship.

Biden was meeting with bunches of people today, so there's a good possibility his brain shorted out. It would be a GODSEND.

“Let slip the dogs of war” Seems apropo at this juncture. I can’t help but worry that this move will begin something that will affect everyone, and the government will have let the death and mayhem to follow, slip out onto the country at large. But it will be their doing, and they will be solely responsible for it all. This would be a very big mistake in judgement by Obama and his handlers. I also worry about all the federal agents who will be having nothing to do with this kind of dictatorial rights abuse/ act of war, but will none the less become instant targets. Heaven help us if the liberals really do misjudge things this badly.
It seems they don’t have enough murdering criminals to keep them busy, and now they want to make millions more?
