Should Justice Department appoint a special prosecutor?

Not sure. Special prosecutors cost money and don't always get results.

No. There's not yet enough there to warrant a possible criminal investigation.

Yes. We need to know if the White House is using taxpayer money for political gain.

Someone who knows better should chime in, but I thought that the Special Prosecutor law is expired.

It took 30 years to let the Special Prosecutor law expire. And no one did it better than 'Rats on Pubs. We should have a care what we wish for.

Eric Holder does not pursue cases against Eric Holder’s people.

Obozo ignored solyndra warnings. Many more if you search solyndra in titles. The “blame Bush” meme is nothing but a libtard talking point.

While I do believe that the Obama administration should be investigated for the Solyndra deal I think that the Special Prosecutor law is poorly structured and has been poorly practiced in the past and should be scrapped.

The Special Prosecutor’s office in the past has been a huge waste of money. Prosecutors have extended investigations in to years and indicted no one. Have prosecuted people at the fringe of targeted crime for simply having a lapse of memory.

With an inexhaustible supply of money for your investigation you can financially ruin anyone who crosses your path.

The Special Prosecutor’s Office is a license to waste federal money for as long as you want to. All you have to do is issue a report and have an occasional press conference.

Someone needs to dig and see who approved that loan in that 2 week window.

Holder can’t be trusted with anything.

He can't blame this one on Bush.

Suspicions that the administration might have pushed the loan for political reasons have centered on the fact that a major investor in the company is a charitable foundation associated with George B. Kaiser, a billionaire from Tulsa, Okla., who raised $50,000 to $100,000 as a “bundler” for President Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign.

Logs show that Mr. Kaiser visited the White House on several occasions during the spring and summer of 2009, while the loan to Solyndra was being considered. Among the officials he met with were the chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, and Pete Rouse and Valerie Jarrett, both senior advisers to Mr. Obama.

“Be careful what you ask for. Solyndra started under Bush.”

Do you mean that the company started under Bush, or that the chicanery started under Bush? In either case, if there is wrong-doing going on, it needs to be found and punished. If it leads to both Bush AND Obama, so be it. Maybe I'm old-fashioned or something, but I just want honest politicians. Once they're bought, they should stay bought, and when they're taking MY money, they should be listening to ME. ;)

“I think we should do away with congressional hearings and investigations etc and find a means of letting everyday citizens take charge of this stuff.”

They have such a means. See my tagline for one variation on it...

No. The utter destruction of the country by a dictatorship-like, lawless administration isn’t done yet. Give it some more time.

Yes. We need to prove that the White House is using taxpayer money for political gain so we can nail their butts to the wall.
