Studying how snakes got legless

A 95-million-year-old fossil is helping scientists understand how snakes lost their legs through evolutionary time.
Found in Lebanon, the specimen is one of only three examples of an ancient snake with preserved leg bones.
One rear leg is clearly visible but researchers had to use a novel X-ray technique to examine another leg hidden inside the fossil rock.
Writing in the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology, the team says the snake records an early stage in limb loss.

Go back to #21. I made a change in Luker’s post, not yours. I am under no obligation to believe your beliefs and neither are you mine. I call it as I see it. If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen.

You are indeed under no obligation, and I am under no obligation to to be silent regarding false, un-biblical ‘theories’.
I have no problem with a hot kitchen.

Something about heat and the kitchen.

Evolutionary THEORY runs counter to the creation account in the Bible. It is therefore a tool being used to attempt to discredit the Bible. IF Genesis can be shown to be false then the rest can follow.
I see. Your faith is rather weak. After all, the Catholic Church (of all things) has no issue with evolutionary theory. The very crew who had a problem with heliocentrism for a few centuries.
Furthermore, by your illogic, you must have similar distrust and disdain for astronomy, geology, all of biology, chemistry, modern medicine, on and on.
The earth is a wondrous, beautiful, mystifying place. Seeking knowledge about it does not mean one is anti-God. Get a grip.

What is it you hope to prove by showing photos of the variety of animals that are presnet? Besides showing an example of the creative perfection of the Lord. They do nothing to prove anything of the process you seem to have faith in.
I'm not "proving" anything. I'm merely engaging someone who has essentially condemned me to eternal hellfire in an attempt to save my soul. So please, go back to those 4 pictures and explain to me the perfectness of their creation. What are they? (And yes, I know their names are pretty much in the URL's, but that doesn't matter.)
You stated that dogs make dogs. So let's talk about "dogs."

Man, this argument is classic.
1) Hey! Look at how all these dogs are different!
Man, this answer is even more classic. Hint: They're not all dogs (canids). Not even close. So it appears all those adaptations, which you have stated occur and explained (inasmuch as your dogma allows), have confused the biblical "kinds" classification.
It appears, through a juvenile experiment, that those adaptations, which you have stated occur, have happened to the point of speciation. I wonder how and why that happened?

As for your earlier long post, I'm not ignoring it. I debated whether I should spend the time to answer it thoroughly, but then I realized that it would be a waste of my time. If you are still asking for "evidence" and repeatable and testable experimentation regarding evolution, then you are 100 years behind the times which tells me it wouldn't matter what I suggested you read.
Every person on the planet (give or take) was a "creationist" for 100,000+ years. How in the world then that evolutionary theory "presupposes" anything is beyond me. Ask a 5 year old where we came from and he'll likely say "God" or "Adam and Eve" or "magic." He's not going to "presuppose" an evolutionary construct. Fight it until the cows come home, but the evidence for evolution grows daily. DNA and genetic advances have only strengthened the theory. There have been innumerable instances where DNA could have sunk the theory. It has tweaked bits and pieces of accepted lineages, sure, but the theory only gets stronger with each new piece of evidence.
As for your uniquely Christian subset ideas on "information" and "kinds," I really don't see the need to discuss that further. "Kinds" means nothing in biology and the canard that any change in DNA = deleterious mutation/birth defect is not going to budge.
I DO want to sincerely thank you, though, for your last couple paragraphs. Yes, evidence is up for interpretation and I'd posit that evolutionary evidence is the MOST "interpreted" because some people are threatened by it. but it doesn't care.

Whattajoke, you are a drone. Jefferson’s wife DIED, and he grew up in a family which owned slaves. There is ZERO evidece that Sally Hemmings was impregnated by Thomas rather than Randolph, who spent the summer on Thomas’ estate. There were EIGHT Jefferson men, one of whom was the father. That is all that can be said definitively. The accusation against Thomas came about to deflect the outrage against serial adulterer and rapist Bill Clinton.

So about those snakes with legs... Look, you nut. I was making a joke. I actually wasn't even positive Jefferson wrote the "inalienable" line. Regardless, I'm sorry, i don't hold the founding fathers up as deities. They were great men who wrote and ratified perhaps the greatest legal document of all time. But lots of them owned slaves and others were philanderers and whatnot. My point: God didn't write our Declaration of Independence or Constitution. Some here feel otherwise. So be it.

Odd - Darwin isn’t referenced in the cartoon. Perhaps you could explain. At any rate, I am a scientist, so I think I’ve got a pretty fair idea how the scientific method works, Bob.

Now you seem to want to back-pedal....I wasnt really talking to you.... I included you because that was Lurker's post to you. It's called a courtesy ping. I posted my comment. That's what everybody here does. I have been on FR as long as you have, even just a tiny bit longer, so I know what I am talking about. You are free to disagree. Not sharing someone's belief does not mean I am promoting "liberal" agenda, nor that I am against God, Country, or Liberty. I never write against God, this Country or denigrate our Liberty. I do disagree with some people's idea of God. That doesn't make me a leftist. It's not smart to alienate fellow Conservatives simply because they don't share your ideas on everything.

Your quotes/words:
“If you have no history of science it’s pretty easy to credit everything to an invisible imagined man in the sky”
“I never write against God,”
Kinda hard to reconcile the two. Seems to me that to you, God is ‘imagined’.
I do not believe that conservatives should use ridicule amongst ourselves, especially in regards to Faith, because that IS the method used by libs. When out of Facts, ridicule works. I presented facts and got “invisible” and “imagined” back. You not believeing as I do is one thing, that is your perogative. But the other method you used did indeed align you with others we fight against on this site.
This IS a Christian country and it has been blessed because of it, and this site IS a site that believes in, and praises God.
“Welcome to Free Republic! America’s exclusive site for God, Family, Country, Life & Liberty constitutional conservative activists!”
In any case, Friend, I would have prefered to have this thread be a more civil discussion of Facts, rather than attacks on Faith or the Bible. It is not smart to alienate fellow Conservatives by ridiculing their Faith in their Creator, that grants us the Rights and Liberty we all love. You and the others are in my prayers.
