Your quotes/words:

“If you have no history of science it’s pretty easy to credit everything to an invisible imagined man in the sky”

“I never write against God,”

Kinda hard to reconcile the two. Seems to me that to you, God is ‘imagined’.

I do not believe that conservatives should use ridicule amongst ourselves, especially in regards to Faith, because that IS the method used by libs. When out of Facts, ridicule works. I presented facts and got “invisible” and “imagined” back. You not believeing as I do is one thing, that is your perogative. But the other method you used did indeed align you with others we fight against on this site.

This IS a Christian country and it has been blessed because of it, and this site IS a site that believes in, and praises God.

“Welcome to Free Republic! America’s exclusive site for God, Family, Country, Life & Liberty constitutional conservative activists!”

In any case, Friend, I would have prefered to have this thread be a more civil discussion of Facts, rather than attacks on Faith or the Bible. It is not smart to alienate fellow Conservatives by ridiculing their Faith in their Creator, that grants us the Rights and Liberty we all love. You and the others are in my prayers.

For one I don't think of God as a man, especially in the sky. Some may, but I personally don't see God as a man in the sky. To me God is a distant enigma at best; in that respect I am much closer to some of the deist Founders then mainline religions.

I only comment on other people's comments, ideas, or claims about God. That's not being anti-God. I only debate religious arguments, never beliefs. If you say "I believer the Bible is the word of God" there is nothing to debate. But is you insist it is a fact, then I will ask questions.

I agree, but the Conservatives are sometimes short tempered and attack fellow Conservatives who don't necessarily see things their way. Calling another Conservative a "liberal" is like spitting in his face. Telling them they don't belling here is just adding salt to the wound. One thing leads to another. It's not all one way.

Agreed. Thank you. I am all for civil discussions. But please acknowledge that other people may have different opinions about your opinions and beliefs. That's what Liberty is all about.

Liberals often hold mutually exclusive beliefs. Clarence Thomas MAY have told a joke about a pubic hair on a soda can, and he is a lecher, yet, Clinton has been serially charged with rape and assorted affairs and abuses of women, yet HE is a champion of women’s rights. Bob
