The findings are based on comparisons of virtual imprints of the developing brain and surrounding structures (known as endocasts) derived from the skulls of modern and fossilized humans, including that of a newborn Neanderthal...
"In modern humans, the connections between diverse brain regions that are established in the first years of life are important for higher-order social, emotional, and communication functions," Gunz said. "It is therefore unlikely that Neanderthals saw the world as we do."
...In fact, the elongated overall shape of the braincase hasn't changed much in the course of more than two million years of human evolution, despite a big increase in endocranium volume. It is the globular braincases of modern humans that distinguish our own species from our closest fossil relatives and ancestors. The new results show that, at the time of birth, both Neanderthals and modern humans have elongated braincases, but only modern human endocasts change to a more globular shape in the first year of life.

Sure, but what about liberal’s brains?
The Neandertal EnigmaFrayer's own reading of the record reveals a number of overlooked traits that clearly and specifically link the Neandertals to the Cro-Magnons. One such trait is the shape of the opening of the nerve canal in the lower jaw, a spot where dentists often give a pain-blocking injection. In many Neandertal, the upper portion of the opening is covered by a broad bony ridge, a curious feature also carried by a significant number of Cro-Magnons. But none of the alleged 'ancestors of us all' fossils from Africa have it, and it is extremely rare in modern people outside Europe." [pp 126-127]

Neanderthals did not die out. They walk among us today and clearly have brains that function quiet differently than those of Homo Sapiens. You know their names: John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, James Clyburn.
A New Look at Old Data May Discredit a Theory on RaceABSTRACT - Pennsylvania State University anthropologist Dr Corey Sparks and University of Tennessee anthropologist Dr Richard Jantz, reporting in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, say reanalysis of data indicates that Franz Boas, founder of American anthropology, erred in saying environment influenced human head shape; photos (M) Two physical anthropologists have reanalyzed data gathered by Franz Boas, a founder of American anthropology, and report that he erred in saying environment influenced human head shape.

Boas's data, the two scientists say, show almost no such effect.
The reanalysis bears on whether craniometrics, the measurement of skull shape, can validly identify ethnic origin. As such, it may prompt a re-evaluation of the definition of human races and of ancient skulls like that of Kennewick Man.
"I have used Boas's study to fight what I guess could be considered racist approaches to anthropology," said Dr. David Thomas, curator of anthropology at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. "I have to say I am shocked at the findings."

Wasn't the "Neanderthal Man" was found to be a fraud decades ago? I guess word hasn't yet reached our hippie "scientists" who've replaced scientific method with Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
“It is therefore unlikely that Neanderthals saw the world as we do.”
Neither do Moslims,

If you know what I mean...
nudge, nudge...
Too much moonglow. Radiation shrinks tumors.
The laws of thermodynamics don't sit well with those who hate the pervasive evidence of intelligent design. They can't prove otherwise, so we get hoaxes.
No, it wasn’t. There may be people who claim that it was, but they are either liars or absurdly stupid.
Chocolate. The only evidence needed.
In the eighties there was an ad,
"This is your brain...
This is your brain on drugs..."
I'd love to see a
"This is your brain...
This is your brain on ObamieCommieCare..."
One would think humans would have surpassed animals as the smartest by now.
But alas, animals are still smarter then humans in so many ways.
I’m curious now. Can you give me some for instances?
