Yep same here. I am surprised to see the honeybees in numbers this year.

I can’t remember the last time it rained in New England...doesn’t look good for the near future, either...low 90’s for some time to come...

Couldn’t agree more...those carrots...the beets...serious ‘food porn’.

Happy Independence Day to you too. Beautiful day here in Missouri. Temperature is only 80 degrees. Still calling for a chance of rain, but I’ll believe it when I see it. Been waiting almost a week and that chance has not materialized.

My wife loves Acorn squash. Butter and brown sugar in the hollow - baked. The only other squash she will eat are the zukes I grow.

Hi again RD. All my tomatoes are coming in and to my surprise most of the crop are plum tomatoes. Seed package must have been miss marked or I put some old seeds in the wrong container package. They are doing terrific in this Florida summer heat. I don’t know how hot it gets in Arkansas but these bloom and produce huge plum tomatoes in temperatures over 90 degrees.

Just thought I’d share. Never planted them before and my tomatoes usually struggle during July, August and September because it’s so hot.

This thing is abused, mistreated, ignored, denied...and still it blooms and blooms. Hey! Kinda like me, LOL!

LOL! You are always blooming, Diana!

Your plants are beautiful!

It gets pretty hot here in Mississippi. Last year I had great results with two varieties of tomatoes "Marion" and "Ark. Traveler" they are both heat tolerant.

I got a late start this year so we will see.

Slap my @ss and call me Dinner! First meal from the garden this season. Butterstick Squash, Provider Green Beans, a few garlic scapes and some fresh Genovese Basil going into the saute pan.

Fall planting of 'Red Ace' beets (in the back) and 'Goldito' fillet yellow beans in the foreground. This little garden bed is a prolific provider! This is where all of my lettuce was in early spring...but I ate it! 'Genovese' Basil and 'Bright Lights' chard in the background, 'Queen Sophia' marigolds to the right. When the beans are done again (53 days) it'll be time to refresh the soil and plant lettuce and spinach again for the fall.

Hmmmm...the staff at my local garden center(s) have been real inept lately...maybe I’ll call them tomorrow and ask for some ‘growdammit’ rocks just to screw with them...

I know you have a garden center or nursery and ship seeds. What are the best tomatoes to plant in a hot area like central Texas that will keep producing in the summer? Thanks in advance.
