ZOT! Why the constant posts on religion?
None but me

I have always thought this was a great site to get great political info. I come here for political/journalistic references. If you are going to make your queries 'Religious,' why not go to the religious talking board. I have been slammed here on what people believe is my perceived religion. These were for comments which didnt mention religion, and didnt have religious overtones. I

Don’t pick everything, just pick “news forum”. That way if it bothers you, you don’t have to see the posts.

They have been labeled pompously insufferable sanctimonious selfrightousists

The only course is to just ignore their inappropriate postings

You shouldn't talk about yourself like that.

What does that mean “private line on God”? Are you talking about prayer, the Word, revelations, what?

You seem to have found your way onto the Religion Forum OK by yourself with this same complaint several weeks ago...

and got an answer at that time...

“Why the constant posts on religion?”

Most large gatherings have unwritten rules that we do not argue politics and religion. It is my belief that this is one of the reasons it’s worth coming to FR. If this bothers you, perhaps you should go create your own forum or simply ignore the religion threads.

After reading some of Tom Paine’s writings, I think he could probably get himself banned from FR on a crevo thread if he were alive today.

People are free to express their opinions on religion in the political forum, or any other forum.

You can ignore those you don’t like, but you’re not going to make people stop posting where you don’t think that they should, just because you post a vanity and whine about it.

I think it is a misnomer that FR is strictly a political site. It is a CONSERVATIVE site. It is a place for conservatives to gather, talk, discuss, and debate.

There are various areas, vetscor, smokybackroom, chat, news/activism and religion.

For many of us, our conservative values are based upon our religious ideas and so that is an interest for many of us.

Although your post count is minimal, the antagonistic tone of most of them is remarkable. It certainly explains your antipathy to seeing posts on religion.
