First of all, I am not much of a TV watcher of shows having to do with past blowhard philosophers and such, but my son is learning about planets at school now and we decided to watch The History Channel one night, just for the heck of it.
So, I was watching a program there about a week ago referring to Nostradamus' ('Nostra' for short) predictions, followed by a program regarding Leonardo DaVinci's predictions, and I was perplexed by something that Nostra "saw" in one of his many visions, which included visions of what or who would be causing chaos around the world in the next 400 years or so.
Nostra "saw" the one who became Napoleon Bonaparte, and saw the word "CORSICA" about 200 years before Napoleon was born. It just so happens that Napoleon was born in Corsica and was disastrous for France and Europe.
Later, the program shows that Nostra "saw" the word "HISTER", and a vision of a man from Europe wreaking chaos in the 20th Century. Experts believe "HISTER" was Hitler.
Next, Nostra "saw" the name MABUS. No one knows what MABUS is, and experts on the show said that MABUS has not yet happened on this planet. No one associated with the show could decipher what MABUS is.
But I immediately thought: MABUS stands for "MAHMOUD AHMADINEJAD BOMBS UNITED STATES". My family laughed at me, but I was dead serious.

JACKSON, Miss. — Former Mississippi Gov. Ray Mabus has been sworn-in as secretary of the U.S. Navy.
The U.S. Department of Defense says the ceremony took place Tuesday, a day after the Senate voted unanimously in Washington, D.C., to confirm Mabus to the Navy’s top civilian job. Mabus succeeds Donald C. Winter.
Mabus, who’s now 60, served in the Navy from 1970-72 as a surface warfare officer. The Democrat was Mississippi governor from 1988-92. He was U.S. ambassador to Saudi Arabia from 1994-96 under President Bill Clinton.
During 2008, Mabus campaigned extensively for Democrat Barack Obama. Now president, Obama nominated Mabus for the Navy post in late March.

True, but why on earth would a ‘reputable’ cable network like The History Channel devote an hour to this man??
there is no proof whatsoever that nostra was seeing that far into the future or into any future at all. he was probably a dissident dedicated to not being tortured and murdered who couched his criticism of the regime of the time in conveniently vague “predictions of future events”.
THE THIRD AND FINAL ANTICHRIST... MABUS

The Candidates for Mabus.
The prophet forged visions into cryptic verse after sitting alone in a state of trance in nightly vigils locked away in his secret upstairs study in Salon Provence summoning what he called “angelic emissaries from God” to his aid. Nostradamus gave the Third Antichrist the following code name. He’s Mabus. A number of notorious contemporary figures, still living or recently dead from the Middle East can see their names spelled in the Mabus code. But there also are other leaders from the West, deeply entangled in Middle Eastern turmoil, a current US president and a charismatic candidate who could be his successor whose names also easily decode out of Mabus, making the search for the right candidate the most provocative and topical challenge presented by Nostradamus for our present times.
Though his true name is occulted, the Third Antichrist’s destiny is made clear. Unlike the first two, he is the first to die in a war he initiates at the sign of a comet, or a rocket falling out of the skies:

His act of terror unites a hundred nations in a war against what Nostradamus calls three Eastern kings secretly allied in opposition to the West. They would use piracy (hijacking?), ambush and subterfuge to wage war.
Know the war has begun when hollow mountains of a great New City (yet to be built in Nostradamus’ day) at latitude 45 in an unborn country he called Americh or Amorica, will be attacked by a fire in the sky. The hollow mountains crafted by man will be seized and plunged into the boiling cauldron of their own debris clouds.
After this happens, we will be living in the days
of the last Antichrist.

Take a couple of aspirine and go lie down. Nostradamus was wrong as often as he was right. Prophecy is a blind man in a dark maze looking for a black book.
It’s the old game where Nostradamus made a bunch of vague predictions where we in the future fill in the details. We make it up as we go along and think that recent history is a fulfillment of his vague predictions.
He also showed history ending in 2012. I predict we won’t see many shows that are in awe of his predictive powers after 2012.
If the world will come to an end in 2012, as Nostra stated, why then is President Obama vying for Chicago to be an Olympics venue for 2016?? ;-)

‘The History Channel’ is owned in part by NBC, GE and Microsoft. I can’t watch it without throwing a shoe at the TV, LOL!
I’m no History Major, but some of the ‘history’ they sell is just flat-out lies.
They love this ‘who-do-voo-doo’ stuff, and if they had their way, they’d prove that we didn’t win WWII.
Take that for what it’s worth...I’m going to make my own destiny. You should too. Prepare for the worst and pray for the best. :)
