Well, this is NOT a perpetual motion machine, but something interesting.. from the article: ... A Zero point magnetic power generator is basically a Free Energy Generator. It uses magnets, and magnetic force to induce perpetual motion. It runs by itself, indefinitely without stopping, thus creating completely free electrical energy... A Perpetual motion device refers to a machine that runs perpetually i.e. indefinitely, and produces a larger amount of energy than it consumes. Thus, it produces free energy indefinitely, runs by itself, without having to need a third-party device or resource to power it... SkyNews vid:

Umm if you are generating electricity you are also generating magnetism and vice versa. You cannot have one without the other. Since he is using a power source to create the magnetic field, and not generating the magnetism from another force he is simply generating electricity from magnetism he created from electricity.
EMF(electrocmagnetic force) is one of the fundamental forces in the universe, the two are not separate. So if he is putting into the system an x amount of energy he has to get the same out of the system, newtons law.
TANSTAFL
That’s funny!
[I think the point is to use permanent magnets to work against other magnets attr/repel force so that the motor is continually destabilized (and spinning), thereby generation of free-energy. I think its possible, but Im not a scientist so what do I know..]
I came up with a similar magnetic plan in the basement when I was about ten. Alas, that and my Red Ryder land sailboat wagon seemed to have been crushed by some vast Haliburton conspiracy to deprive the world of my genius.
Mommy is not guilty. Even with the hair.
BTW - even if thei was true - how healthy would it be to have 24 KW’s being generated at your home?
They look like dandelions.

I am making millions selling my unneeded power to Con-Ed. I can let you buy into my business for a $50.00 up front setup fee and a 29.95 monthly maintenance charge.

You are correct. To create the potential difference the wire OR the magnetic field has to move perpendicular away or towards the wire this creates an induced current. But you cannot create the EMF without an external force. Be it from steam moving a turbine or electricity from a battery. In other words no matter what if I put in 24kW of energy in from the force, I better get 24kW of energy out or most of it out or accounted for. Either way electricity and magnetism are always together and part of the same force.
“And as a special, one-time deal, I’ll throw in this attractive set of steak knives to the first 100 caller who order one.”
Hell, that’s nothing! Mere child’s play! I have enough bowel gas bursting forth from my rectal cavity to light up Las Vegas for 1,000 years! Beat that!
“Well....mmmm, place a copper wire in a magnetic field, with the wire motionless, measure the voltage generated, no, your volt meter isnt broken...there is no voltage, unless the wire is moving....”
There is an electrical field present with the magnetic field, just no electrical current to measure. If there was no electical field present to begin with, there would be no current generated when you moved the wire.
Ferromagnetic materials(ie permanent magnets) either have to be created by man(which we mostly do) or created by nature. It is actually fairly hard to find them in the natural state in a quantity and state(ie no purification needed) where they are useful so we typically have to make them. So in order for us to do that we have to put energy into them to get all of the poles to align permanently. No free energy is there.
Thinking is not correct.
“if he is saying they are using magnets to power magnets to make electricity. Sounds like BS to me.”
Not really, the concept I get from the link is they seem to be using a stationary electromagnet and reversing the current which changes the polarity (?) causing it to “push and pull” on the rotating magnet which is creating the electricity. If they can get the output to produce more then is necessary for creating the electromagnet then you have yourself a generator. All you need to do to get this thing started (and is seen at the link) is to give it a spin.
He is in that if you place a wire in a stationary magnetic field and didn’t move it and then tried to measure the current you would read nothing, no current, no emf. You only get current when one moves perpendicular toward the other. What he is doing however is ignoring the movement part. If you place a wire in a constantly changing magnetic field(ie a power generating turbine) then you will measure the EMF, current etc.
