Ted Kennedy was left paralyzed after being hit with a devastating seizure, The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively.
Although he'd been fighting a valiant battle against brain cancer for more than a year, the 77-year-old senator was jolted by a frightening seizure in mid-July that paralyzed the right side of his body and left his speech slurred.

“77-year-old senator was jolted by a frightening seizure in mid-July that paralyzed the right side of his body and left his speech slurred.”
His speech has been slurred since 1963...

Strokes and seizures are two different things, although stroke victims are more at risk for seizures. Strokes involve part of the brain dying, usually due to interruption of blood flow. Seizures are neuronal disturbances and don't usually result in permanent damage to the brain. The symptoms can be similar (
Todd's paresis), but seizure victims should recover fully and fairly quickly after the event.
I agree that if Kennedy's paralysis lasts for more than a couple of weeks, then chances are he suffered a stroke.

That's possible, but after the family having to view John Kennedy's head explode on television for nearly fifty years, and of course the photos of Ted's Oldsmobile being pulled out of the water, the family has become much more guarded about this kind of stuff. One of the reasons Ted had the military around during the search, recovery, and disposition of the bodies of JFK Jr was so photos of his remains wouldn't show up on the net.
Ted's circling the drain. He's getting old, and has never taken care of himself. Could be true or not, but he's in the final stages, whatever the truth of this report is.

Why be nice?
the man should be considered an enemy to our country. The fact he is out of action should be time for rejoicing, not smarmy hypocritical balderdash.
I see no reason for any positive statement toward a truly despicable scoundrel

I have absolutely no sympathy for Chappquiddick Ted. He has lived a life of debauchery, a drunkard, and all around liberal scumbag who has violated his oath as a Senator and citizen.
Whatever suffering he is in...he’s earned it.
This whole idea that one should not speak ill of the dead or near dead is fine for those who have lived honorable lives. This POS has been nothing close to honorable.

I sent him an email today regarding the health care reform bill. Oddly enough, I've received no response.
Perhaps it was because I asked him to vote against it?

I sent him and Kerry e-mails about Porkulus asking them not to vote for them. To Kennedy’s office credit they responded within three days. Kerry’s office sent an e-mail three months later. I’ve heard that Kennedy’s constituent services are very prompt and I’ll give him credit for it. Kerry, on the other hand I’ve heard is virtually non existent. Color me surprised.
To: GQuagmire
I sent one today to Kerry too regarding health care. No response yet.
