Thanks everybody for Your Easter replies! ETC...& How great/cool to have Mr. Robinson/Jim reply back, too? Very!:)

A bonus Easter Surprise & A 1st,Thanks...I was getting used to being one of the All’s in Your pings,LOL!

I will be back to reply at Amy’s re: some specific Easter pings & Other stuff I’m behind on, as usual these days,LOL!

But busy is good...Just wish I still had more computer time to spend...

I need a typing break now though but will bbl to answer some individual pings...

Can’t keep catching up though, like before...too much, in too little time...It’s overwhelming to try & catch up once even a few weeks behind the pings...

So I officially will stop trying to:)...Finally!

& just a reminder until A I (Silent Jonny’s Thread,) is over, what little online time I do have right now will mostly be on that Thread.

I’ll frequent this Thread again,once A I show wraps up another season,m’kay...

Have a great day/time till I *see* You again, somewhere on the great site that is: FR! :)

Freep mail me to be on or off the Daily Bread ping list

April 13, 2009
It’s Bubbling In My Soul
If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. . . . Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. —John 7:37-38

Decades ago, I visited a ministry center in West Africa and saw a little girl climb onto a truck that had a public address system. Smiling, she began to sing over the microphone:

It’s bubbling, it’s bubbling,
it’s bubbling in my soul;
I’m singing and laughing
since Jesus made me whole.
Since Jesus came within,
and cleansed my heart from sin,
It’s bubbling, bubbling, bubbling,
bubbling, bubbling in my soul!

I heard her sing that song only once. But the joy in her voice was so evident and powerful that I remember the lyrics and tune to this day. The parallel in the song between water and spiritual refreshment is a biblical one. During the Feast of Tabernacles, a Levite priest would pour out water as a symbol of God providing water for Israel in the wilderness. During that feast, “Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water’?” (John 7:37-38). Jesus was talking about the Holy Spirit promised to those who would believe in Him (v.39). This thirst-quenching water is a picture of the spiritual satisfaction that only He can provide.

Perhaps you’ve lost that joy you first experienced at salvation. Confess all known sin right now (1 John 1:9). Be filled with God’s Holy Spirit (Eph. 5:18), and let Him provide you with a “bubbling in your soul.”

Christ departed so that the Holy Spirit could be imparted.

The Rosebud

Fairest flower, lovely rose
Queen of a Summer’s Day :
Velvet petals, crimson hued,
Such beauty takes my breath away.

I pluck the rosebud, grasp it tight,
Then cry aloud in pain.
The thorns are sharp, their bite is keen,
I fling it down again.

Then I muse, such too is life,
Where joy and pain combine:
Sun and shadow, side by side,
As light and dark entwine.

I cannot throw the bud away,
Although it caused me pain.
This time I’ll hold it tenderly
And take it up again.

I’ll cherish my sweet rosebud more
For showing me today:
Life can be harsh or can be sweet
So grasp it while you may.

It's a chilly 60 degrees this morning.
I had to do System Restore on my computer..
It wouldn't load at startup..That's a first.
Today is paperwork and filing day..UGH.
Hope your day is filled with more appealing things to do!

Good morning, Meg. Happy Monday.
My day isn't too exciting; I'm meeting with accountant to file an extension.
I'm hoping to find more deductions. :)

Your good morning graphic is so pretty.
Again thank you for doing a tremendous job of hostessing yesterday.

See you after paperwork.

What to do with left-over Easter Eggs

Scottish Eggs

Divide one pound of pork sausage around five hard boiled (peeled) eggs
Place on rack over cookie sheet
Bake at 350 for 25 minutes
Cut each 'ball' in half
Place each half over 1/2 biscuit.
Cover with sausage gravy, sprinkle with parsley and paprika and serve.

This is the first thing my children and grandchildren request, when they visit Grammy.
I use a pound of pork sausage to make the gravy on the range-top, while the eggs wrapped with sausage, and biscuits are baking in the oven.
