Hey, BG — I defended the First Lady’s elegant dress and coat on Inaug Day. She looked fine in it. But she had all the designers and money and time in the world to pick a ball gown and she went with white CHENILLE?? And a strap that truly did look like a maxi-pad over one shoulder?? :)

I have been studying the comparison of your pictures of the Kennedy's and the Obama’s. There is no question that Jackie knew how to dress. She truly was elegant. Michelle will never be elegant, but I hope she hires someone to help her to be more appropriately dressed for he thousands of occasions ahead of her.

Note President Kennedy and Obama’s clothing and how the styles for men have not changed at all!

I looked up pictures of Michelle and found that she was dressed beautifully on the days before the inauguration, but it was all down hill after that. She seemed to be intentionally trying to not be elegant. Her posture was terrible, also.

I heard that from Rush today. He couldn't be MORE wrong.

NONE of us are jealous of Michelle. She has such awful taste in fashion, it's almost impossible NOT to comment. And we wouldn't want to look like her either.

Furthermore, if we really were as Rush says we are, we would be jealous of someone more worthy...Governor Palin...but we all love her. So there goes Rush's theory.

Gov Palin makes the clothes she wears look good. She can wear anything and still look fantastic. She shines.

How about socks? I have a weakness for cat-socks. Sometimes I wear them with nice suits - I figure it's the equivalent of the guys here who wear Snoopy ties. The doctor who diagnosed my cancer was wearing a nice suit and cat socks. I commented on the socks and she blushed and mumbled something about pulling them out the drawer in the dark. I said, "It's okay...I get it."

I like Nancy Reagan’s red Inauguration outfit. The media was so hard on Nancy. All of the recent Republican First Ladies starting with Pat Nixon were treated shabbily by the media except for Betty Ford probably because she had cancer.
