To the moon, troll, to the moon!

Edited on 11/30/2008 5:15:14 PM PST by Admin Moderator. [history]

During the cold war, JFK claimed to have gone to the moon. He got congress to spend billions on his moon landing and pretended america landed there, convincing congress to give him billions, the fakeness of the landing is well documented.

It seems to me that this liberal moneybags, that he took these billions for personal use, or maybe gave them to the USSR (we all know he was soft on communism)

Perhaps his death was similarly staged in order to keep his billions or keep congress of his case.

I wonder if under an obama administration we will see more moon landings.

It was a precursor to landing on Saturn.

Well, we landed in the mood in 2001, but they had to film it in Jupiter because of the rings.

That's close. Actually, what happened was this:

And after that it was Good Night.

Good morning. Bill’s off to driver’s ed. I need to find some leftovers for breakfast. Sure is cold here!

I’ll go out and warm up a few things for you.

I doubt you’ll notice the difference.

No, it’s still in the 20s. But thanks for trying! The car was in the garage overnight, so at least I didn’t have to de-ice it to drive Bill to his class.

It has been really cold here. It was below 50F last night and still only 51F now.

I just find it hysterical that you actually believe that. I’m not going to even attempt to argue the case with you. There will never be anything that will convince you you’re mistaken. I still have to just say...WOW!

Children’s toys and stuff, and probably candy. I can pick it up later this afternoon, when we go for our Sunday School class (the one that was cancelled because the power was off last week :-).

I just got home from picking up Bill at drivers’ ed, and found TWO huge styrofoam cartons of frozen premium meats from my parents-in-law. I need to get them in the freezer post-haste. My stepmother-in-law must be feeling really great since she started going to church again!

I went over to Cape Kennedy in the 70’s - and got a chance to see the craft ( well the “twin” craft of the original ) they flew in - it was about a third the size of an elevator - if that. They had manikins in it to show the position the men sat in - stunningly cramped. When we “landed” on the moon a computer as powerful as the average hand held calculator today would have taken up a room... there's just no way it happened. Not that there's any reason to doubt the Nixon administration on anything (sarcasm off) You don't have to attempt to argue the case. I also don't believe in global warming, didn't believe in the “Club of Rome” or the “Population Bomb”. If the moon landing was true - there’d be lots more celebration about it and more interviews with the people who “landed”. Instead there's crickets... And if it was true, we would use the technology to skip around Mars...

So. What you’re saying is that since you don’t believe it, no one else should, either. Is that it?

News flash: Nothing will change the truth, and it makes no difference if you believe something or not. You have free agency, you can gather information just like the rest of us, and you can decide what to accept and what to reject.

Just don’t expect the rest of us to suck up to your opinions of what you think is true or not.

If you want an argument with someone about it, you’re on the wrong thread. This is now the Undead Thread, and we have a policy about arguments: There are plenty of other threads that will be willing to argue with you. Don’t bring them here, or you may be asked to leave.

Folks come here to get away from the insanity of the other threads on FR. So please respect that. Thanks!

No. And I have no idea where you saw that in what I wrote. Please pull the quote where I'm saying "no one else should either". It's not how I think.

At no time have I said you can't believe what you want to... FreeRepublic is the court of public opinion - and I've expressed mine - and am happy when you express yours.

I followed the space program since I was a kid. I have come to my own conclusions - you've come to yours.

Your comments are those of a bully - and the stuff about "don’t expect the rest of us to suck up to your opinions " is heavy handed and untrue.

Again, if I'm wrong - please pull the quote where I say everyone has to agree with me. I think it's much more likely that you're the kind of person who gets angry when people don't agree with you.

Your comment about "if you want an argument" when I was just stating my belief is nuts. And the threat of how I may be "asked to leave" is odd. Are you a moderator or just someone who pretending to be one?

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here. This is the War Room.!" (Can't post my graphic of that because I can't get to it from work.)

Clearly we have a difference of opinion and let's just let it go.

Otherwise I will have to just stand here tapping my foot and quietly practice my bagpipe. (Can't post my graphic of that because I can't get to it from work.)

On a lighter note, am getting lots of chuckles over this:
