During the cold war, JFK claimed to have gone to the moon. He got congress to spend billions on his moon landing and pretended america landed there, convincing congress to give him billions, the fakeness of the landing is well documented.
It seems to me that this liberal moneybags, that he took these billions for personal use, or maybe gave them to the USSR (we all know he was soft on communism)
Perhaps his death was similarly staged in order to keep his billions or keep congress of his case.
I wonder if under an obama administration we will see more moon landings.
It was dee-lish! And the Tex-Mex food we're going to consume before the football game tonight will be delightful, I'm sure.
These are the things I dream about when I'm in the desert. LOL
How are you doing these days?
I try to buy at least two pairs of Christmas socks every year, but I think I’ll let Sam buy me a pair when I get to Arkansas.
I don’t even know where my other ones are!
:whispering:
(Allegra, you ROCK!!!!)
One good thing about being deprived is how much you really appreciate it when you’re not!
Enjoy the meal! Will you splurge on a Margaretta?
I’m good thanks.
I’ve been on a low carb diet for a few months, (again), and I am finally getting some where. (Have some carbs for me tonight, OK?)
I was supposed to go to the mall to get some new clothes today, but going to Costco, the bank, etc., tuckered us out.
Maybe after Christmas.
Gulp! Just sent out a report I’ve been working (and off) for several weeks to a number of folks in the company and particularly my my boss’ boss’ and her boss too.
Absolutely! On the rocks with salt.
Ive been on a low carb diet for a few months, (again), and I am finally getting some where.
Glad to hear it's paying off. I know that's not always easy, especially during the holiday season. Hang in there!
(Have some carbs for me tonight, OK?)
You betcha! Actually, I eat a pretty healthy diet when I'm overseas and do yoga and other exercises. So, when I'm home, I make up for lost time. :)
Good luck with that!
I hope it doesn’t loom over the coming holidays like an albatross.
Me too, though I would expect to hear back on it sooner. I don’t think it’ll hurt me at all, though I did have to dance around a political issue in it, so at the worst it does nothing, at the least it’ll make my new boss’ boss aware of my position, and at the best it will cement the destruction of my life-long career as an engineer. *\:^|
I was, but I’m back. When we got to church, the power was out, maybe lines down somewhere in the area. It wouldn’t be the end of the world if it were just the lights out, since it’s still light, but they’ve got a well with an electric pump, so no toilet-flushing without electricity!
Bill’s calling now to report it to the Boy Scout leader. They may have it back on by evening, but who knows.
At best, it will destroy your career?
Whatever would you do without a YOB, Man???
Well, that’s not good!
Boys need toilets!
If you hadn’t gone, they would probably not know about the power until it was too late to do anything.
Plus it will be dark by the time the Boy Scouts meet. I’m sure they’d find that cool, but they wouldn’t be able to accomplish much!
LOL.
Once upon a time there was an honourable man who wanted to help young boys become good men.
Now he gets called because the toilets aren’t working.
;-)
LOL! We don’t expect the Scoutmaster to get the pump working, but he needs to decide whether they’ll cancel the meeting or wait to see if the power comes on in the next couple of hours.
That’s good, right?
That’s your job?
Or will you get stuck with ‘the blame’?
I'm hanging, lol. It's not that bad, I just had to reach the point when I wanted to be slimmer more than I wanted potato chips, and fried rice. I did it in 2001, but then stopped watching myself, and gained the weight back.
So, when I'm home, I make up for lost time. :)
Right on!
Have a good time!
I don't get much exercise, so I tend not to work it off. Hey, maybe I should wear a flak jacket to work?
Maybe by the time they are Eagles, they will be able to accomplish many things and overcome many ob-STAC-les.
:-)
(My old career is effectively ended for now...)
It’s good. I’m becoming expert in stuff nobody else wants to know, or has time to learn, but it’s knowledge the company wants to have on hand. Or at least that’s what I just told them. *\;-)
