I was, but I’m back. When we got to church, the power was out, maybe lines down somewhere in the area. It wouldn’t be the end of the world if it were just the lights out, since it’s still light, but they’ve got a well with an electric pump, so no toilet-flushing without electricity!
Bill’s calling now to report it to the Boy Scout leader. They may have it back on by evening, but who knows.

If you hadn’t gone, they would probably not know about the power until it was too late to do anything.

Ugh. We've been through that, and the septic tank at our church is pumped up to the drainfields. We now have a generator at church.
