To the moon, troll, to the moon!

During the cold war, JFK claimed to have gone to the moon. He got congress to spend billions on his moon landing and pretended america landed there, convincing congress to give him billions, the fakeness of the landing is well documented.

It seems to me that this liberal moneybags, that he took these billions for personal use, or maybe gave them to the USSR (we all know he was soft on communism)

Perhaps his death was similarly staged in order to keep his billions or keep congress of his case.

I wonder if under an obama administration we will see more moon landings.

Took the high road anyway. Lots of ice. And looks like another storm is on its way, arriving in an hour or so.

Well, good luck. Supposed to be 60 here tomorrow, and more rain.

Very interesting... that storm seems to be disappearing as it passes a line about 20 miles south of here

That used to happen to us in San Antonio, only the storms would fade out about 20 miles north.

I’ve wrapped all the presents we’ve bought so far.

Ha. The only time I’ve been to San Antonio that preceded my arrival most definitely did not fade out 20 miles away. It was in the news, as I recall — June 1996.

Just got back from taking the youngest sionnsareen to work. A bit slick with ice but the little 4WD did fine. One poor driver was clearly in great fear — every time he got above 2 MPH he was braking. A LOT of (Microsoft) Indians live in that area; I wonder if he was one of them.

I’ve been reading.

My daughter wants me to put aside my reading to read the Twilight series.

Oh, the sacrifices we who love books must make.

Good morning, Undead FRiends. Another day with our Dog. She’s lying by the fake fire waiting for spring.

I keep my fake moose over the fake fire. He doesn’t care much about spring.

Spring has arrived, as far as the dog is concerned. It’s 60 and sunny, at 11:00 a.m., and Ash is happy. The dragons aren’t fooled, though - they ate some leaves and went back to bed.

Currently a whopping -6oF. -30o with the windchill.

The moose has snot-icicles and is not amused.

63 here. Clouds are coming up, so it will probably rain later. The dog was lying in a sunbeam on the floor (on her back, looking like a giant dead plucked chicken), but then the sunbeam went away. Anoreth’s taken her for a walk.

Good afternoon all.

Took the youngest sionnsareen to the airport early this morning, then it was off to Tacoma to wrap the hose bibs and place straw in a trench to keep a friend's pipes from bursting (he's in South America? visiting family). 31F here and that looks like that's about as warm as it's going to get. Forecast says snow on Wednesday.

Drive-by posting.

It might be a good idea to let that friend’s faucets leak a little bit. Water wasted down the drain will pull some heat through a buried pipe.

Still water will freeze.

We don’t have a key to the house. But the pipe is down deep enough, and the run short enough, that I think it’ll be okay. In a few days the temps will be back above freezing.

When we put in a new well, I dug a hole and laid concrete blocks for a pump location. Then I trenched over to the house.

The trench is about four feet deep. In this climate, that is more than sufficient. We’ve never had a problem.
