I Found a Precious Video of our President a Few Days Ago, and Wanted to Link to it Here for Any FRiends who have't Seen it but Might Want to:
Thank you, yorkie. It’s always interesting to see stuff from the older threads, and how much we’ve changed - the welcome graphics are certainly more dramatic (due in part to being much larger!) than those we did 3 - 4 years ago.
It is heartbreaking watching the news and seeing the fires destroy so much, leaving people with nothing but ashes where their homes once were. (and personal belongs that can never be replaced) The air that you breathe must be so awful, I just pray that there won’t be huge numbers of people with serious health problems later for those who can’t escape the smoke and fumes.
Well, you’re gonna have to do another one now ‘cause your red rose thank you is the prettiest thing. :)
It is really hard to watch the news reports. I had to switch the channel yesterday, as all it showed was the flames and smoke. Although, they did feature some residents taking pizzas and other snacks and beverages in to the firefighters.
It was awful that 500+ homes burned down at the Oakridge Mobile Home Park, many of those people retirees, I think.
Yes, we’re going to have bad air for awhile. I’m not sure when the wind will shift to onshore flow again....I worry about the very elderly, ill and frail.
Thanks, (((Billie))).
I cannot imagine how those poor people are coping. Talk about Coping With Uncertainty.
It seems that these fires happen every year. I don’t think I could live there with the uncertainty of whether you are going to lose all in the spring landslides or the fall fires.
Prayers going out to everyone affected by this latest disaster.
Thank you for reporting in, Dita!
I know this is and has been a real disaster there in your
area, Dita, and I continue to pray for the folks who lost their
homes and that no one is injured or killed by this monster
fire.
I am thankful that you were able to stay indoors where the
air could be controlled. I hope that this ordeal is over
soon and that the brave firefighters and air support are
able to make headway and get it/them put out!
I hadn’t been following FR much over the weekend, but I hope you and your families stay safe.
Oh my goodness, Kitty, that was special. I hadn’t seen it. And Veterans are very special people, aren’t they?
I’m thankful I’m safe too:-), (((Kitty))). And I wish everyone could have been so. Very few fatalties were reported, but so many homes lost.

Amen, Sistah!!!
I checked with Orange County relatives this a.m., and my cousin’s house narrowly escaped the flames, just needs smoke clean-up, thanks!!
Good ... I like the link to the music.
I can play it in the background by using the other computer. I think others do too.
Hubby and son may visit some wineries one afternoon. If so, Marissa and I will stay so she can play on the beach. The past two years she has met other kids there and had fun.
We stay at a Suite Motel that sits right on the beach. It is our anniversary gift.
Some of the older poems and graphics are wonderful. I enjoy using them whenever they fit the thread.
This is adorable!! Thanks, Amy, for that and for thinking of me. Now, I need to sign off for awhile. Take care. ‘Bye.
I had not seen that, Kitty.
Thank you so much for posting the link.
President Bush is such a caring person. We are all going to miss him very much. He has been fighting the DC left and the MSM for 8 years. He has earned a rest.
Thank you, Mr. President!!
