Those ornaments are so sweet.
I have some of my Mother’s jewelry from long ago. I have a lot of rhinestone jewelry that I had in high school when it was very popular. Now its hot again with my granddaughters. They have their own of course. One Christmas my parents gave me a set of rhinestones with necklace, bracelet and earrings and the same year a little boyfriend gave me a 3 piece set, just different look. I have them all. Actually the set my boyfriend gave me were the prettiest. But I am proud to have both sets. Also have some old crystal jewelry thats quite beautiful. Has the colors running through and so sparkly. I am a jewelry hound. Never threw any jewelry away.

I saved all my crystal jewelry..Have some of it in a cut glass box box on my dresser..I have a set from an old high school boyfriend of fake aquamarine and rhinstones..very dainty..and an old good fake topaz necklace, bracelet and ear clips. I saved some but not all of my old jewelry,
My mother had lots of long beads that would be fun for grandaughters to play dressup with..I had 4 grandsons..

When my granddaughters were very small, we would go up to my room (we had a king size bed) and we would get my shoeboxes of old beads and costume jewelry out and we would get on the bed and they would love to go through all of it. We would look at each necklace or bracelet and if there was anything to tell about it, I would share with them. I hope that will be a memory they will have forever.

Thanks,Meg. We’ve had a great day.
We will be going to Avila Beach during the Thanksgiving break. It will be a nice getaway. We try to go every year but since Marissa came to live with us, we now go the week after our anniversary.
