I use to be addicted to Age of Empires I & II and Half Life variants such as TPF and Days of Defeat. Nowadays I might touch my home computer for maybe 15-30 minutes a day if that, to check email and a few websites.

I used to be addicted to Freecell. Once I won 42 games in a row. When I finally couldn’t solve a game and broke my streak, I was mad for the rest of the day. That’s about the extent of my computer gaming. I have absolutely no idea how those other computer games work.

I remember when "Berzerk" came out in the arcades. Played it so long my joints hurt when done. Couldn't sleep at night. I kept hearing the robot voice, "Intruder Alert, Intruder Alert. Catch the Humanoid!!".
Just had to go coldturkey to get over it.

Sudoku. I have it on my computer, my PDA, a book by the bed, a book by my chair and a book in my purse.

My husband and I had a major addiction to Everquest. We finally got up the nerve to sell our accounts, and we never looked back. But for a year or two, it caused some major issues for us.

Here's one that I wouldn't say "add to the list" until you try it...but do try it. It is sooo addicting. You simply must keep playing it until you master it. And it's free!

World of Warcraft I’d have to agree with, Halo another one. My personal favorites, Fable, an RPG game, and all sorts of RTS games like Stronghold, Stronghold 2, or Age of Empires series.

If he ever got on FR you could ask my boy Clarinet_King about World of Warcraft’s addictive qualities.
It cost him $6200 a year in scholarships, his opportunity for a college education, three or four jobs, and nearly landed him in jail on more than one occasion.
And yet, he continues to play the game.
