My first 7 years were very rural. Even today I have relatives who don't have air conditioning or paved roads. The show got on my last nerve.

We have ground SQUIRRELS. Member of the congregation came over one day and said, you know, we oughta get rid of some of them. Next thing I knew he showed up with a 22.
Explained that popping off rounds at squirrels between a church and a park in S. California in broad daylight close to a police station on a Sunday afternoon might not be the best idea. He was crushed.

That's what I'm thinkin'. I use to do that with the birds at my Grandma's farm on the Main River in Ohio. Think the boyfriend has pellet guns. I've tried everything. My dogs will kill them if they come in the yard, but they're very careful to stay on the otherside of the fence most of the time. I tried...get this...exlax one time. Oh, so gross. Ground squirrels pooping themselves to death all over the property. Such a treat for the Church women.

2407 feet above sea level to several feet below sea level. Hilly in north, plains in center, coastal or flat in south. Lot's of rivers and streams and lakes. Largest River gorge east of Grand Canyon (Little River Canyon). On any given day the temperature from north to south varies 15 to 30 degrees depending on season and wind direction. I love it here.
