New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Prayers for Nana, Corin. I know she must be in awful pain, but the frustration is probably even worse!
OK, I googled it, they used an EMD F series locomotive in Silver Streak, built in 1952, belonging to CP.
I love his love songs.... "The Dance" and "Unanswered Prayers"
Oh, dear... hope it works out OK. Maybe she just needs a little WD-40? :-)
Hang in there, pal.
Wow. Prayers. Hope she's ok...
We're talking about the Bush girls, right? They aren't kids! They're older than I am, fercryin'outloud.
Thunder Rolls?
Oh yes... and the Thunder Rolls...
Agreed... I would have cheered to see his sorry butt thrown in an African jail.
Ah, proving once more that I am not a dwarf...
Evenin' Miss Rose! :-)
Oh, man, hope it's nothing serious!
Physically, but not in maturity, I think.
My sister and I had some hats like that many moons ago.
I'm recovering from the "Mommy calls" today ... sorta like what Rosie has to deal with. Mommy and/or Daddy are on the East Coast; baby girl/boy is on the West Coast with the computer; I'm in Austin. Mommy/Daddy call me, wailing that their baby child is flunking all their courses because the mean ol' computer doesn't work.
Closely related: Mommy/Daddy, computer-stupid, are in the dorm room with the computer. Baby child is elsewhere, running in the halls and chatting up sex partners, leaving Mommy/Daddy to call me.
I'll be glad when mid-terms are here ... I'd rather have the cryers than the officious Mommy/Daddy demanding I stand on my head for their baby child!
Nobody can explain it.
Some say she's still alive.
They even claim they've seen her
On the shoreline late at night.
So if you go down by the water,
You'll see her footprints in the sand
'Cause every night she walks the beaches of Cheyenne.
I had red boots, too, but I wasn't wearing 'em in the snow ... too cold!
HI From Denver! I think the interview this A.M. went OK...it's shock-jock "journalism" so you never know how it's edited (especially since I couldn't watch channel 5 in Denver). Denver is a bit disappointing (probably 'cause I'm not here during winter when I could ski). Just a big city like all the others...lots of homeless folks in the parks and lots of advertisements in Spanish for the migrant workers. Not too impressed but still, it'll be an easier rest of the week from here than from the office. Kind of nice Freepin on the work computer...take that you leftists!
Hi Rose...your just a country gal with your Garth! I'm going to be stopping in Dallas on another trip next month (to Ft. McLellan in Alabama), so I'll get to be in Texas for a little while anyway. Sure wish I could be in Texas, in some of my favorite places there...Austin, Lake Travis, San Antonio, for a lot more time than I'll have!;
My condolences Rose... I know I get my share of insufferable calls, but those mommy/daddy calls sound like the worst... yeesh. "if you don't care enough about it to spend the time with me to fix it... then why, exactly, am I supposed to care about your problem, again?"
...or something like that... :-)
