SOLAR FLARES. THE TRUE CAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING!
Free Republic | 04/03/2004 | ANDY 72632

Posted on 04/03/2004 1:12:55 PM PST by ANDY72632

I have a theory that: "THE TRUE CAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING IS SOLAR FLARES." Each flare buffets the Earth's magnetic field and increases its electical charge which, in turn, reacts with and heats the Earth's molten iron core by electrical induction. Which causes increased volcanic activity. I've noticed that earthquakes and volcanoes always increase in frequency after a series of solar flares. Also the earth's atmospheric and surface temperatures are somewhat directly inceased by each Solar Flare .

I also figured out that: "Dark Matter is what we perceive of matter in another dimension" two months before the theory was first published in a newspaper article and read by me.

Hi Andy, are theories 'breaking news'?

I thought "Dark Matter" is what resided between John Kerry's ears.

Ok Andy. I think your theory is stupid.

AND, that dark matter is Al Bore. He invented dark matter, dontch know.

Nobody has ever seen "dark matter". Some scientists propose the existence of this stuff to explain the discrepancy between observation and theory. Other scientists have proposed new theories. It seems to me that asserting that certain unobservable things exist to explain discrepancies is walking on shaky grounds. In the past, theories that have had to be bolstered by arbitrary "corrections" to explain observational discrepancies have been overturned by new theories and scientific revolutions.

I call you zotbait. And I wonder what academic credentials you bring to the question, if any. Got a high-school diploma?

OK, Andy - this sounds like a fit to the Electric Universe paradigm.

How about some hard facts to support your conclusions:
a list of historical periods with ALL solar activity and the corresponding terrestrial geologic or thermal response?

And, of course, citations for your data sources....

I'm here in the Chicago suburbs, no global warming - real cold today but you can tell when there is one of those flares, we had two this afternoon - the temperature went from 50 to 20 in 2 seconds, then back up, then an earthquake and 2 asteroids, so we came in the house, but everything is fine now.

ROTTFALMAO! Good sense of humor. So I was bored. And I posted without researching. Also, I added the link about electrical induction after I wrote the article. It turns out that several scientists (geophysicists?) have postulated similar theories.

Sorry about the typographical error. I meant to type: "Each Solar Flare buffets the Earth's magnetic field and increases its electrical charge which, in turn, reacts with and heats the Earth's molten iron core by electrical induction." And I heard the term "Dark Matter" on the radio and told my sister what I thought it was. Two months later a very similar theory showed up in a science/astronomy aticle in the newspaper.

To much postulating going on it sounds like - not good - it's not good, but off to Walmart for some Solar Flare Sun Screen after dinner, hope there not out of it.
