Nopers, I was trying to lift him over a brook as we had been out hiking.
I told him specifically to sit still and let me do teh work, and instead he jumps as I was picking him up, right into my left eyesocket with the top of his head.
I'd had someone try to skip a rock off a lake and instead skipped it off my browridge just over my left eye when I was younger.
(When people see me in person, they usually comment on the fact that there's a chunk missing out of my left eyebrow, as in there's a bald spot. The scar has since healed well, but the bald spot in the eyebrow will always be there. Yes, I get self-conscious about it at times.)
When that rock hit me many years before, I remember two things from the second it hit: The rock was humming as it came in, and after it hit the world went black and white for awhile.
Next thing I remember being aware of: I was sitting next to a campfire and vicously stoking the coals with a stick and babbling nonsense.

So, fast forward a decade and I'm getting slammed in the same spot with a skull-noggin.
Made me dizzy and loopy for awhile.
Beforehand, I had excellent balance and repeatedly crossed streams by walking on fallen trees many feet above the ground.
Afterwards, I have terrible balance.
Yes, before it is asked, I have had a CAT scan done and they found "Nothing out of the ordinary" that would explain the headache.
*chuckle*

LOL!
Permanent headache that I've been trying to figure out the 'why' of.
Other than that, things are good.

Did You Know?

As you walk up the steps to the building which houses the U.S. Supreme Court you can see near the top of the building a row of the world's law givers and each one is facing one in the middle who is facing forward with a full frontal view - it is Moses and he is holding the Ten Commandments!

DID YOU KNOW?

As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom, the two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments engraved on each lower portion of each door.

DID YOU KNOW?

As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see the wall, right above where the Supreme Court judges sit, a display of the Ten Commandments!

DID YOU KNOW?

There are Bible verses etched in stone all over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington, D.C.

DID YOU KNOW?

James Madison, the fourth president, known as "The Father of Our Constitution" made the following statement "We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God."

DID YOU KNOW?

Patrick Henry, that patriot and Founding Father of our country said, "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ".

DID YOU KNOW?

Every session of Congress begins with a prayer by a paid preacher, whose salary has been paid by the taxpayer since 1777.

DID YOU KNOW?

Fifty-two of the 55 founders of the Constitution were members of the established orthodox churches in the colonies.

DID YOU KNOW?

Thomas Jefferson worried that the Courts would overstep their authority and instead of interpreting the law would begin making law....an oligarchy....the rule of few over many.

DID YOU KNOW?

The very first Supreme Court Justice, John Jay, said, "Americans should select and prefer Christians as their rulers."

How, then, have we gotten to the point that everything we have done for 220 years in this country is now suddenly wrong and unconstitutional?

Please forward this to everyone you can. Lets put it around the world and let the world see and remember what this country was built on.

Thank you!!

DUB & EVE

Sorry about your headaches. Have you tried seeing a Doctor?

On the other hand, I'm glad everything else is fine.

You had a cat scan that revealed nothing out of the ordinary? *L*
That diminishes my trust in cat scans.
Maybe they scanned your knee.....

Yup, saw the doc and had the CAT scan mentioned in Val's post.
And yes, the CAT scan revealed nothing out of the ordinary.
Val, yes they did scan my skull-noggin.
*chuckle*
The computerised voice saying "Breateh, Hold your breath, Breathe" was ridiculous due to it being my head that was going through the machine and my breathing wouldn't mess with the scan..
And it was a scan without contrasting dye first, THEN teh fun of feeling marker dye stuffed down an IV gauge needle into my arm..
*shudders in memory*

I figure the analyst just glanced at it and said, "Yup, it's a skull-noggin alright!"

Well, not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
*chuckle*
My cat says I'm fine, but that's only because she sees me as an oversized toy.

But that machine, I'd rather deal with the banging and thumping of an MRI.
