Grrr! I forgot about the pecan pie. LOL Would you like some Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla with that? You know it's Texas' Best! I've taken all the calories out of it. *snickers mischeviously behind the carton*

"Today I am debuting my very own thread. I hope you like it and will continue to stop by and contribute to it. We have a very nice mix of fine freepers here. Hopefully Amy's Place will be the place where many more freepers will find a home. "

I haven't been writing too much poetry recently, but best of luck, Amy! :)

I like your opening picture, btw. :)

I think it's cute that you thought my hubby was a babe. Just happy that you thought good things during your visit. Not sure if I should tell him about this, it may bring on a midlife crisis. LOL!

Over the river and through the wood
To Grandfather's house we go.
The horse knows the way
To carry the sleigh
Through white and drifted snow.

Over the river and through the wood --
Oh, how the wind does blow!
It stings the toes
And bites the nose,
As over the ground we go.

Over the river and through the wood
To have a first-rate play.
Hear the bells ring,
Ting-a-ling-ling!
Hurrah forThanksgiving Day!

Over the river and through the wood,
Trot fast, my dapple gray!
Spring over the ground
Like a hunting hound,
For this is Thanksgiving Day.

Over the river and through the wood,
And straight through the barnyard gate.
We seem to go
Extremely slow --
It is so hard to wait!

Over the river and through the wood --
Now Grandmother's cap I spy!
Hurrah for fun!
Is the pudding done?
Hurrah for the pumpkin pie!

FRIENDS
Author Unknown

A friend is a friend is a friend.
A friend is someone who is there
For you, who will support you,
Who will listen to you.

A friend is a friend is a friend
A special friend is someone who
Will stay with you the end
Who will take you as you are and
Change you into something special.
Who will say, I love you, and
It will come straight from the heart.

A friend is a friend is a friend
Tho both are there when
When you need for any reasonat all,
A choice between the two
Is the hardest decision
A human can can have
But in the end, a compromise for
The special friend and a friend will be found.

A friend is a friend is a friend
A friend is special when all
Is understood, but a special friend is special
Because their heart and soul is with you anywhere.
And everywhere you go because
They love and care for you.

Another lovely poem by your Aunt Laressa. Thank You, Amy.
Love your new format, very nice :-) Found this pretty poem while googling. Hope you are all Blessed with wonderful friends.

"Raise up our glasses against evil forces"

Thanks for the tune, Victoria. First that I heard that song, and I really like it a lot :-) I have never seen Toby (would love to), but have seen Willie at a country fair in Ohio.

Yes, that mouser is a real cootie, and I'll bet her compilations are a work of art, too.

LOL!!! Cootie should copyright her compilations fast.

Thanks so much for the input, Colleen. I'm glad it works.

Well, here is another one. Hmmm, this graphic looks like JR's pic.

Thanks, Lori

I think everyone did great. I love my new digs; finally washed the purple out. Did I tell you that someone on TOS said that it looked like a brothel? Well .... no wonder I was anxious to get into a new place with fresh paint and a warm fireplace.

*chuckle*
The standing joke in my regular thread is that when the thread is dead (empty, not moving) the furniture comes to life.
Not sure as the nightlight will keep it from doing so, but it may at least give the furniture some light to read by.

Nice to see you this evening, Diver.
Thank you for sharing that stupid crook story with us.
When you hear some of these, do you wonder how they ever make it out the front door?
Hope you enjoyed your visit and will come again.
